Second Try Is as Bad as the First
After grappling with an offer/reward inbox that listed rewards at the bottom and lots of expired offers at the top (the delete buttons on the offers never worked), I was hoping that the next release of the Peet's app might be usable. I was also hoping that the developers might have listened to some of the feedback I e-mailed via the Web site, submitted via Peet's customer surveys, and mentioned in an App Store review.
I was wrong. The July 26, 2018 redesign is as bad as the original version. The first thing I tried to do, mark stores as favorites, didn't work. "Failed to update store. Please try again later." Only one of the two company-owned Peet's stores in my city even shows up in the app, and this, after I carefully removed the "order ahead" filter (no nearby stores support that).
My friends at Peet's, it is time to throw in the towel on consumer apps. Your big competitor's app is so far ahead that even if you employed intelligent developers, it would take you years to catch up. Stick to serving good coffee and tea.

Love this! They just improved their app today, (didn’t mind the previous app) but def better. It’s more clear, easy to find what you need to do. The look of the design is great, well done!
I use this app all the time, we have an espresso machine of our own at home, and we indulge in fresh, good tasting espresso. So we fill up our e-gift cards every couple months. This app is great for that reason, I don’t have to bring my card or wallet! Just my phone! I just load it up, check-in at be register and ask them to just use my credit! Done and done!
They are also starting to test mobile ordering, which is awesome. Hopefully the one closest to me will start testing soon :)
Hoping for mobile order
I think the app is good, it functions and has processing speed better than the Starbucks app. I like how "check in" and pay by Peet's card is all in one step, however I wonder why there even is a "check in." Perhaps so that people who pay with cash still get the credit, which is not the case with the Starbucks app. So I like this actually, now that I think about it.
One thing that would make me very happy with this app is if they would incorporate mobile ordering which is a super convenience and stops me from waiting in line. Even if I have to wait my turn to get my order, at least I can do it while sitting at a table or on the patio or even in my car.
