The app lets to navigate between menus right from your Mac.
Main controls:
Arrow left = Move to the left
Arrow right = Move to the right
Arrow up = Move up
Arrow down = Move down
Enter = Select
Esc = Menu
Hotkeys:
Option + Arrow up = Select previous device
Option + Arrow down = Select next device
Option + Shift + Tab = Hide/Unhide CiderTV window

Awesome Sauce - Must Have for Apple Addicts
Uses Bluetooth to control Apple TV from your mac! Works great. You can use your Mac as a keyboard, use it when you loose the small TV remote in a couch cushion. 90% of my TV time is on Apple TV and I usually have my macbook air out to surf while I watch. Fire up Cider and use the Mac as a remote…. It just doesn’t get better than this app. Since Apple hasn’t released a remote or enabled wi-fi network control of TV for Mac the way they have with iOS devices, this app fills the gap rather nicely.
Great app, does exactly what it says
Sure I can use the phone app but since I’m on my computer way more than my phone, I wanted an easier way to control my Apple TVs without having to grab my phone. This app was the solution I was looking for. Works great, and while the user interface could be a little bit more streamlined, that does not prevent me from giving it a 5 star rating. Great job dev, thank you for this app!
No Connection, No Support, No Good
I tried loading this app since it offers functionality I would love to have. The first step after installing the app is to get your Mac to make a Bluetooth connetion to the Apple TV (I have an Apple TV 4). I tried several times in different ways to get it to connect and my Mac Pro would wouldn’t get listed as a connetable device. The link to the help page was a 404. Googling lead to several 404 pages. I found a FAQ help file for it and it didn’t help getting me running.
I will send an email to see if I can get this running so I will wait a few more days before uninstalling this app.
