Play with caution, especially kids

I am a 63 year old retired disabled veteran. I say that only to let you know I am not a disgruntled lid.
I enjoy playing the game but there’s an issue you should be aware of before you play.
I had spent a lot of money (over $200) building myself up. I had been playing this game for 5-6 months. I came online to find myself on fire, removed from the alliance, spells applied so that I could not move or shield myself. There had been over 62 attacks by the alliance leader and others stealing as much of the things I had purchased and built up. It seemed remarkable that as soon as I came back online the new attacks ceased but I was being prevented from moving. Eventually everything I had would be taken. I left 5he game and reported it to support.
To keep this a brief as possible, supports response was nothing short of that it’s part of the game. I could accept that but when it is done by your own who know when you’re offline, held down and prevented from doing anything about it, there’s a problem.
Support spent much time tracking down those who built other farms and sold resources and banned them from the game. That was taking money out of their pocket. Not so when a victim spends hundreds of dollars and it is stolen from them.
I question the integrity of the makers and at very least the support personnel I’ve had the displeasure to deal with. I caution you, especially the kids. Can you imagine what these guys could do to your kids?

Good with help from alliances

The game itself is fun and fairly easy to startup, however, to continue to grow you will need the help of a descent alliance. Alliances offer a wide variety of benefits from free gold(which you would normally need to buy) to speeding up your building construction/research. That being said there are downsides to the game that affect some players but not all. These issue involve glitches, spam mail, and "wallet warriors"(people who spend absurd amounts of money in order to grow). The downsides to the game, while a turn off for some, do not outweigh the fun of the game. There are and increasing number of events that go on in the game and the number continues to grow due to the many updates the company is putting out. All in all I would highly recommend this game to any of my peers.

Don't bother, frustrating and IMPOSSIBLE for free or cheap

DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY... This game is really fun at first, but you will lose all of your progress later because super advanced players will constantly attack you and you can't stop it. Not just one attack either, but the same person attacking you 5 to 10 times in quick succession. You then spend all your time trying to save up your resources again to rebuild your troops only to be attacked and wiped out again. Truly a shame since aspects of the game are actually entertaining. From what I can see, the only way to effectively play this game is to spend upwards of US$50 PER MONTH (since all purchases are for exhaustible resources). That is insane! Once again, a good fundamental game idea that is ruined by a company going for top dollar instead of loyal gameplay that naturally leads strong profits. I'm done with FunPlus apps now.
