Description

iFont lets you install your own custom fonts for use in apps such as Pages or Microsoft Word, lets you compare different fonts and different weights, as well as giving you detailed information about each typeface installed on your device. iFont gives you the ability to send messages in different fonts as images from the Notepad, as well as a comprehensive set of tools for professionals.

“Without iFont, writing my new book, ‘Ten Seconds To Consider’, would be an impossible task, given that I'm designing as I write. For my Pages documents to be consistent between macOS and iOS now is a game changer. Thank you for iFont!” — Daniel Klein, former Apple employee

iFont includes a wide range of features which let you install and view typefaces. These include:

CUSTOM FONTS
Install your own fonts (.ttf, .otf, .zip formats supported) for use in other apps. Simply download a font in a web browser, open in iFont and follow the simple instructions to install it on your device. You can also export a copy of the font, or send the profile to a friend to let them install it, too.

FONT DOWNLOADS
iFont lets you download and install a range of fonts from the Google Fonts library within the app. It couldn’t be easier to find a suitable typeface for your next leaflet, poster or financial report.

COMPARE
Compare many different typefaces to see which will suit your intended use. Arial or Helvetica? Zapfino, Snell Roundhand or Savoye LET? Georgia, Iowan Old Style or Times New Roman? With Compare, you can be the judge!

NOTEPAD
The Notepad you find under each font lets you test it out and type a message, and then export it as an image to send in apps such as Messages. Add some character to your texts by using a font which stands out from the crowd!

WATERFALL
See how a font looks at very small or very large point sizes easily using the Waterfall view. This lets you judge which size would be suitable for your use.

TECHNICAL DETAILS
See information about each font, from the designer and trademark information to the spacing of the ascents and descents.

Worked Perfectly on First Try

Margo45

I see there are no other reviews and so I was hesitant, but I wanted to add some fonts to my new iPad Pro and took a chance on this one because your Description was pretty straight forward. So glad I did because it was so easy to add a couple of fonts and it worked seamlessly! Make sure you know how to transfer files from a supported cloud service and understand how this works before using this app. I saw a lot of complaints about problems with other apps and some of them maybe didn't really understand what this type of app is actually used for. I'm an artist/designer and use a variety of fonts to create and augment my work. Very happy to pay to support this developer. Thank you!

Have some fonts downloaded but I do not know how to use em in other apps

Developer Response

To use fonts in other apps you first need to install the font (go to the Files tab in iFont, and tap Install). Then open an app that lets you choose the font you use (for example, Apple's Pages, or Microsoft's Word), and use the formatting options there to change the font. Unfortunately, some apps do not let you change the font, but if you want to send messages written in a font of your choosing you can always use iFont's Notepad feature
