Follow these 3 easy steps to get started:

2. Create an account and watch our short training videos.
3. Ride a Scoobi whenever you please - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Use the mobile app to locate a nearby Scoobi and click reserve, or if you're in front of a Scoobi, you can scan the QR code to start riding immediately.
You may go wherever you want in Pittsburgh on roads 35 mph and under, just make sure you complete your ride in our approved parking zone or in a Scoobi charging station. No motorcycle license needed, two different sized helmets are included.
You must be 18 years or older, have a valid US driver's license, and a clean driving record.

Customer service and equipment need a lot of work
The bikes are easy enough to ride, but I reported an issue and Scoobi is really failing at its response. I’ve had problems with getting my phone to stay in the phone mounts on the scooter, so I stowed my bag with my phone in the seat compartment. Turns out once you stop the bike and put on the kickstand, the compartment doesn’t unlock again without the app. So, I got charged a ton of money for a 3 mile ride because I couldn’t get to the app to officially end the ride. The bike essentially held my bag (with my wallet and phone) hostage. Nobody was around to answer phone calls or emails. No way to have anyone remotely unlock the bike. If there had been a life-or-death emergency, or if a phone flies off the mount or out of a pocket and breaks, the rider is screwed. So far, Scoobi is refusing to issue me any refund. They’ve lost a customer.
Don’t even bother, folks.
Doesn’t even work properly
True to use a scooter to get to an appointment. The trunk with the helmet wouldn’t unlock and with PGH drivers there is NO way I’m not wearing a helmet. Then it won’t let me stop the app. I call customer service — Ashley was amazing — all the while I am still being charged. I couldn’t end the ride. I deleted the app and tried to start over and now I can’t log in at all. I have to email support to make sure I am refunded for the ride and for the Lyft I ended up having to take to my appointment — which I was then 15 min late to and which was cancelled because of it. I thought this was supposed to be as easy as pushing a button. There needs to be some additional non-app override. Like a square reader on the bike so I can just swipe my cc and use. My bf doesn’t even have a smart phone so he can’t use these scooters at all.
I have watched my videos so have set up my account and have now walked to 2 different scooters one that was in some random garage with other charging scooters that was not available and another that completely didn’t load to let me rent it the app is garbage and needs work I have now walked 25 mins out of my way to try these out for a small errand or two completely disgusted on my way to a third right now close to my destination maybe it will work probably not also there is no telling that it’s at a charging station GET IT TOGETHER
