- Consult the Kana tables
- Practice drawing
- Quiz training
- Progress statistics
- 100% free, iOS exclusive.
Additionally: customise the Hiragana and Katakana tables, configure the quizzes and consult your training history.
Give it a try, and let us know what additional feature you want to see. We are continuously improving the app.

Simple and elegant
I already know kana but it’s always worthwhile to get more practice. Using this app I can quickly do any type of quiz I like, using any kana I prefer to study. Being able to choose which types of kana you study is very valuable, especially if you struggle in one area more than another.
Another thing I like about this app is how it tracks every little detail of your studies and shows how well you know each individual kana. Add to that the simplicity and easy of use that comes with this app, I think it’s excellent!
I can’t wait to see the Kanji companion app that’s currently in progress xD
Simple app with room for improvement
I was starting to lose my hiragana and katakana memory - unable to remember a few of the characters - so I downloaded this app for help. It’s easy to use and has some useful features. I try to use it whenever I think of it. One thing that I would like to request is STROKE ORDER. This is so important when writing kana and I was really surprised to see it missing from the practice pages. It would also be awesome to have a relatively thick pen point when practicing over the existing kana. The thin line of the “pen” doesn’t look as good. I like the app for the simplicity and ease of use. Could also have more practice pages - like writing an entire word instead of just the symbol.
Love the app, just one basic fix
This app is great! It’s free, there are no ads, it keeps your statistics over time, and it’s really simple to operate. If I could have this but with thousands of kanji, my life would be set!
Just one slight fix to be made. There’s a spelling error on the statistics page, and it says quizes instead of quizzes. Otherwise, I love it!
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
