Not everyone likes change
Love this game. I play random people & a couple of friends. I loved it when I could see them on FB. Photos are so small now I cannot see if it's a man, woman or dog. I loved the personalized aspect of the FB link. Also, why does it now take 20 or more tries to get a random opponent with an actual name. I do not want to play a computer, i.e., either "random" or "guest." This is the most frustrating aspect for me. I want to know it is a Human with whom I may chat if we choose. Also anticipating new word additions. Please keep the Teacher. Love that. Can't see any point in a "challenge" feature with the dictionary lookup available so please do not bother with that. Thank you for a wonderful game. I have some terrific new friends because of you. I can't imagine a day without this app. I do have a friend I play who has macular degeneration & wishes the print on the chat feature were larger.
When a player uses their last tile, the game ends and all other players have the values of their remaining tiles deducted from their scores and added to the score of the player with 0 tiles left. Obviously, this means it is impossible for more than one player to have 0 tiles, because the first to use them all immediately ends the game. So all players except the last should receive a penalty. Normally the app does this correctly.
However, I have noticed that the scoring system occasionally adds points to the score of a player with tile(s) leftover rather than the player who ended the game. The last player receives a bonus of +0, which is wrong, and instead a different player who should have had points subtracted for their remaining tiles gets the other players' penalty points as a bonus.
I have a screenshot of this occurring but can't attach it to this review. I hope this bug can be fixed quickly.
If it isn't broken, QUIT fixing it.
Since the day I was introduced to Scrabble, it has been my favorite game. When it became an app, it was the perfect blending of high tech and no tech. I especially loved the feature for playing another person in the house, on our own devices, WITHOUT having to sign into anything. Then, when it became possible to play friends and family anywhere, it was amazing. But then, you had to change it. You got into bed with Facebook, like every other mindless online company, and forced me to sign into Facebook in order to play. I absolutely abhor playing games through Facebook or any other social media site. My friends don't care what my score is, I don't care to share my score and I get sick and tired of getting invitations to play other games on Facebook, simply because they see that I'm playing Scrabble. Just stop it.
