MUST HAVE computer remoting app!

The developers are incredibly responsive to any issues I have experienced. They are genuinely interested in user feedback and accommodating feature requests.
That said, it already has incredible functionality (with a brand new reimagined app on the way), but if it isn’t everything you’ve ever wanted in a VNC app, ping support and let them know!
It’s rare to find an app with devs that are ready to enact user requests so quickly.
I’m happy to support them and it’s clear their priorities are right where they should be: on the productivity of the user.

Thank you guys so much! Keep up the good work!

4.1 works for me.

I was pleased to see external display (and bluetooth keyboard) support in 4.1 so I updated and tried it out with my Apple composite video out adapter (not the VGA adapter) and it works great. Although, not too surprisingly, it looks like the composite video out adapter is limited to 640x480. So now with my apple wireless keyboard and composite cable (with built-in charging) I can turn virtually any TV into a monitor and have my home computer with me anywhere!

When I tried using it without the external display, I had some trouble. There is a toggle that you need to flip to "show screen". I had to flip that, exit the app and then quit the app (iOS 4 multitasking thing) before it would really show the screen. That bug is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. That issue could be related to the two other v4.1 reviews that I saw that were so negative. The new version launched with "show screen" disabled. And without an external display connected, I could see how one might think that the app was just plain broken.

Generally speaking, this is the best VNC app that I have found for the iPhone. I have been using it for several months now. And, I have been looking for literally years. Trackpad-like screen navigation and pointer controls are intuitive. Qualitatively, the response and speed is the best I've seen. Setup for remote (wan) access is easy. Well worth the price tag to not have to carry a laptop.

When it works it's great, but....

When it's working, this app is great. Over wifi I can control my pc from anywhere in my house. Great for checking up on downloads, finding files remotely and sending off by email, etc. However, and it's a really BIG however, the connect software which runs simultaneously on your computer to allow the connection is flaky. It works for about 40 minues to an hour before crapping out and needing to be restarted which defeats the whole purpose. Every 10 minutes or so it checks to make sure the server connection is working and eventually fails to see it. Watching the log reveals that it makes two attempts to find the connection for 5 seconds each before declaring defeat. It would be nice if the user could set how many times it should try and the interval by which it tries. I'd like to set it to try more than twice with 10 to thirty second intervals in hopes that it might refind the connection with a little more effort and time. I should also add that while wifi connectivity is fast and great, connecting remotely via 3G is remarkably slow. Slow enough that sometimes the desktop app times out before I can do much of anything. I don't expect lightning quick responses over a cell network, but it's almost too slow to be used effectively. The app shows so much promise. Stability and a speed increase would seal the deal.
