What's New in Version 5.1.5
Switched the Sudopedia links to use a working mirror of Sudopedia, since the main site has been down for some time. The iPad version can now show more hint text at one time. Various other minor bug fixes.
I enjoy these puzzles every day. I think they may be a valid brain exercise as my percentages keep getting better. I like the flexibility to use hints if I want to. Since I am visually impaired and can't always tell what column or row I'm looking at, it helps me to get warnings when I put a number in a column or row that already contains that number. I think the flexibility of these options for getting help is especially good. I like getting new puzzles every day, so I don't finish all the puzzles in the app and have to find a new one. I also like getting a limited number of puzzles a day , as I can get quite addicted and play for too many hours if I have unlimited new puzzles.
The best I have seen by far.
I have been playing for years and have tried out most of the popular apps. None come close to this for learning the basic and the advanced strategies. My hats off to the creators of this app. The ability to give you meaningful HINTS in the context of a puzzle you are trying to solve, not just filling in a square, is really a great way to learn the strategies. And this app has a great tutorial along with it to teach you all those strategies, from basic to advanced, complete with examples. Very, very well done.
Best sudoku app out there. It's easy to use and has options for hints, ways to know when a number has been used up, ways to make notes without having to switch modes, options for traditional or quick number entry, highlighting to show you all spaces for a specific number, and tricks you can learn to become a better player. No having to compromise with this app. It has every option you could ever want, and if you don't want it, you have the option to get rid of it in settings.
