What's New in Version 5.3.0
Important update regarding week of pregnancy: We're listening to your feedback, and this is coming in loud and clear: The countdown tracker in our app conflicts with how some of your doctors track your pregnancy. So we're making a change to how we display pregnancy weeks in the What to Expect Pregnancy & Baby App. Also, we know you love a personalized and visual experience throughout your app, so we've added more images and easier navigation to make using your app more enjoyable every day.
THE DETAILS: There are two ways to explain how far along a pregnancy is. Our app numbering system now refers to the week that you've just started. Going forward, we'll use the number of weeks you've fully completed, which is how most doctors track development.
WHAT THIS MEANS TO YOU: When you update with the latest version of the app after Feb. 20, the app will renumber your weeks. This means you will see the same weekly pregnancy information for two weeks in a row, in order to dial back the clock on the countdown – it’s almost like having a week off! You can always peek ahead using the scroll arrows at the top of the weekly information page if you want to see what is next. And, during this time, you’ll get fresh news and advice in your news feed every day, just like you always do.
WHAT THIS DOESN’T MEAN: This doesn't change your due date or anything happening to your body or baby, of course. It just means we are assigning a different numbering system to better match what most doctors use.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: Update your app to version 5.3.0 or higher.
WHY WE ARE DOING THIS: Our goal is to make pregnancy easier, so we want to be in sync with your needs. You can contact us at questions at email@example.com for any questions or problems.
24/7 Best Friend
This app really helped me not only understand everything that my baby is going through during pregnancy but saved me extra phone calls & trips to my doctor's office by guiding me through what is normal during expecting my first child. This app reminds u daily that it should not replace advice from your doctor but it really helps u to understand every little symptom that could pop up. I used this app every day & we are now counting down 4 more weeks to delivering our healthy baby girl. Thank u!
Addicting and very resourceful
I really enjoyed this app during my pregnancy. I had so many questions and it was great having other moms with experience there to help 24/7. They have tons of groups of everything imaginable when it comes to parenthood... I found my baby's birth month group to be incredibly supportive and it was a lot of fun bonding with other moms and seeing/reading about our birth stories finally!
App has crashed occasionally on me but other than that, it's great!
What to Expect
The app is a little helpful, I assume. Not nearly as helpful as other apps. I never seemed to get the information I felt I needed. Needless to say, I am removing the app and I'm not even half way through my pregnancy. I used the forums as a guide, to ask questions and communicate with other moms who had a similar due date, and all I could seem to find were vultures. Nobody is nice, they do nothing but criticize. The What to Expect creators do not seem concerned with the high amounts of awful posts from people. I find this concerning, seeing that the forums are supposed to be used as support and to help each other out. I'm displeased that WTE has done nothing about these people.
