Couldn't guess the countries from the flags while watching the olympic games? Well, then this is the game for you! With this quiz you will recognize the flags from all over the world while having fun. Guess the country for every flag and try to beat your friends in the top ten scores!
- For each flag you'll have 3 choices and 10 seconds to answer;
- You have 4 lives (mistakes allowed) and you gain one life whenever you get 5 countries right in a row;
- For each game session you've got 244 flags in random order and you can't get the same flag in the same session;
- You have the option to choose one or more continents to play with;
- The game is over when you don't have any lives left or when there are no flags left (if that's the case you're already becoming a master!)
Great, but needs refinement on two points...
This app is great, and in playing it for only two days, I've already learned a lot. With that said, I have two problems with the app: 1) If you narrow a session down to a specific geographic region, the choices for the flags you're seeing aren't narrowed down as well. So I might want to play with only the Americas, and I would see the Bolivian flag with the choices of Ghana, Bolivia, and Etiopia[sic]. With those choices, it's a geography quiz, not a flag quiz. 2) My second problem is the spelling of some countries are wrong. As noted before, Ethiopia is spelled without the "h." I'm not sure if this is a localization problem, but I suspect it is not.
Many spelling errors: fix them!
This game is fun to play and will make you an expert in vexillology!
Bur there are numerous spelling errors in the names of countries--around ten or a dozen in all--as well as some factual mistakes such as omitting the coat of arms on the flag of Haiti.
Also, there are many trick questions. For example, since Guadeloupe is a département of France and not an independent country, its flag is the French flag. Thus it should be omitted from the quiz. Keeping Guadeloupe and several other entities in the quiz is like including American or Brazilian state flags or Swiss cantonal flags in the quiz.
Of course, that could be done, too. I love American and Brazilian state flags and Swiss cantonal flags!
Please fix these errors!
I noted the following misspellings: Comors, Libera, Etiopia, Netherland, Swatziland, Wester Sahara, Balgium, Egupt and Columbia! [There may be even more.] This is unacceptable! Please fix them!
Great quiz! Just a few changes requested.
I've really enjoyed learning the flags of the world and in just a few days have most of them memorized! Only two things I can see that need updating:
1.) Spelling needs to be corrected on the following countries: Etiopia (Ethiopia), Egupt (Egypt), and Balgium (Belgium). These mistakes aren't global, just in a couple places.
2.) When you get enough answers wrong for the game to end, the screen which pops up blocks the answer. It's hard to tell what the correct country is...frustrating when you are trying to learn.
Overall though --highly recommended!
