SUPER STRIKE - Motion Bowl
Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
v3.0 is HERE!!! -- We heard your reviews and got right on it (please update your reviews)!
- Lane Perspective View Mode - legacy top view is still selectable in the options
Super Strike combines stunning graphics and real sound with awesome gameplay. This isn't you normal bowling game... this one is fun!
There are two control types:
TOUCH CONTROL : Use the touch screen to roll the ball! The faster you swipe your finger, the faster you shoot! Apply curve to your shot by tracing a curved path!
MOTION CONTROL : Use the iPhone/iPod as the ball itself. HOLD THE DEVICE LEVEL TO START, then move it like you were bowling it. When you're finished with your follow through, release your finger to take your final shot! (This is just like that console game system with motion controllers that we can't name!)
YOU CAN CURVE YOUR SHOT TOO BY MOVING THE iPHONE SIDEWAYS (NOT ROTATING YOUR WRIST) DURING THE SHOT!
Rotating your wrist will have the opposite effect (hold it so that you can see the screen the whole time).
- Curve Sensitivity Controls in Option menu
The alley scrolls with the ball making it virtually 4 times the length of your iPhone... none of the other bowling games do that!
Super Strike Motion Bowl allows you to play by yourself, against a friend, or against your iPhone itself (computer player)!
Three computer difficulty levels and three ball weights maximize gameplay possibilities.
The Real Physics Game Engine ensures that your experience is as real as the bowling alley down the street, minus the smoke and beer bellies!

GUNS OF WAR - Fighter Pilot 3-D

Mix the two views perhaps?
Update: I think the majority is right about the odd pin action. Some of these shots that hit the head pin with a 16 lb ball just couldn't have the remaining pin combinations. Perhaps the designer needs to jot down the pin leaves from a pro tour or from the highest mens scratch league. I also still think the shot needs to start at lane view but finish with the overhead view.
I am not against the overhead view of the pins, I wouldn't scrap it altogether, It's a nice close up. So to appease the rest, maybe the ball rolls 3/4 the way from bowlers view and then the overhead shot. Or have it go 100% from bowlers view and replay the pin action from above view immediately after.
The motion curve was a great invention and when you see the shot from bowlers perspective you will feel the arc of the shot better.
Maybe in the future various lane conditions can be in the options since hooking the ball is possible here(ie oily vs dry, synthetic vs wood reaction). This would really be headed in the right direction if lane conditions went from easy to advanced instead of growing the ball size.
Update: This new version is working and am enjoying it !
The new version works like expected- Great ! Not quite the same class as Wii, but good enough. Killer improvement would be the ability to have the display on a network PC/Mac screen
now I'm mad..
Now I have been waiting for a year for an update and you won't do it! Make it so you can save scores after you bowl. Is my favorite bowling app but it lacks features! UPDATE IT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE please?
