"a fun little game" - The Gadgeteer
Loopy Laboratory is a small but entertaining puzzle game starring Lara, a damsel in distress. She's been locked away in the laboratory of the evil Dr. Heissenbad. It's your job to help Lara escape the Laboratory safely.
Dr. Heissenbad's Laboratory consists of 50 unique rooms, each filled with deadly traps and challenging puzzles that need to be solved in order to escape.
This is a pretty good little puzzle game. Its got slick graphics and a variety of objects and obstacles to interact with to solve each level. It is worth the price (I bought it at $2.99, I believe) and anyone who is a fan of puzzle games should give it a try. That said, I have a few recommendations for the developer that would greatly increase play and replay value (at least for me). First, speed up the gameplay. The main character just walks too slow. By the time I got to the higher levels, it takes so long to get her to walk to the various corners of the level that at times I would run of out time and have to quit. That leads me to my second point: Have the game save progress on exit or call! It is frustrating to have to start a level all over again if for some reason I have to take an abrupt break from playing. Finally, a level selector would really be nice, especially since the "cheat" feature allows skipping of levels. Without a level selector, those levels are lost forever...(at least, until I restart a new game from scratch). Don't get me wrong, I like the game. I wouldn't go to the time to write this if I didn't think it was good and had potential to be better!
I LOVE THIS GAME, But, it......NEEDS MORE LEVELS
Some of the levels were easy, a few very challenging and a few have a little trickery as in decoys or props which look like part of the puzzle but are only there to make it seem harder to solve than it really is. But it needs a LOT more levels or even a Loopy Lab 2 with hundreds of levels, and possibly some more obstacles integrated into it. I also would like to see a connection with facebook with the ability to post highest level reached with friends and family. TO: Developer, This is a very good logic puzzle game, but please add lots more levels, as I breezed through 46 of these 50 levels very fast.
Well done version of Chip's Challenge, but difficultly level is low
I'm on level 44 and really the game has never gotten all that hard. It is completely enjoyable and it's always satisfying to figure out a level, so I still give it 4 stars, but I do wish the puzzles got harder and got more difficult much sooner. It's been a long time, but I remember Chip's Challenge on the Atari Lynx being a lot more difficult. I paid full price for Loopy Laboratory and am happy with it at that price even though the price dropped, but I do hope that the developer will put out more levels for the game, and more difficult ones. I'll be finished with this game soon and will definitely be wanting more!
