Incomplete service, UI issue
I think this app is a great start to investing in healthier products. However, I think some of the lesser-known companies get the short end of the investigation stick, leaving them with low ratings due to lack of certifications &/or knowledge of ingredients. Should a deodorant with one basic, natural ingredient, few apparent certifications, and no animal testing be rated lower than an antiperspirant (which is a drug) that is sustainable with packaging but tests on animals? Furthermore, some highly rated products' rating information refuses to load while all others in the same category load almost immediately.
I also don't like that the top bar is so dark and the app doesn't convert the service bars, time, and battery icons to a contrasting white. I'd rather have to glance at the top of my screen instead of having to leave the app or pull down the notifications bar.
It is a functional capable app. The true question is, do we care about our own lives, much less the lives of our children? We need to start making our vote count by buying the most responsible, environmental friendly products available. For every product purchased that gets a high rating score, will show companies that we care about our environment, we care about ourselves, and care about our children.
Everyone Should get this!
Excellent design/layout. It's simple, yet very pleasing to look at and anyone can use this easily. I love that it organizes SO MANY extra details about the products you can choose to click on. Like the ingredient... But this app takes it a step further!!! You can click for a description of some of those obscure ingredients in hair/skin products, food, everything!
