In celebration of Pocket Jockey's 1-year anniversary, we are offering the app for free for a limited time!!!
Pocket Jockey has been getting the attention of reviewers and iPhone enthusiasts everywhere. Here's what some have to say:
"Spanktastic" - The Unofficial Apple Weblog
"Surely Turning Heads" - iPhone3GIndia.com
"Really enjoyable game that is definitely something you should check out" - AppVee
"Simulates horseracing in most suggestive way possible" - Gizmodo
Pocket Jockey is a full-body horseracing game. Compete against your friends or race solo in this fast-paced motion-and-audio experience!
The closer you gallop to the beat of the song, the faster your horse runs! An occasional whipping makes your horse go even faster.
There are 3 fun ways to race:
•Jumping up and down while holding the device in front of your face (whip by flicking)
•Bouncing your legs after putting the device in your back pocket (whip by spanking yourself!)
•Tapping the screen (whip by flicking)
Keep track of the race by watching the colorful jumbotron screen. For an extra challenge, put the device in your pocket and listen for the race sounds!
Playing multiplayer is easy: all you need is a Wifi connection and a friend who has Pocket Jockey.
Get ready for a full-sensory gaming experience like no other!
Great app but needs work! :)
This is a super great app but LISTEN
GAMEMAKERS: this app needs (1) better graphics like a real horse (2) you should be able to customize your jockey, horse, and colors (3) there should be $ that you win and spend in the game---like a racing tycoon or something (4) and last thing---you should be able to play on different race tracks. Please hear me: GREAT JOB but this app still needs some work---if you were to add features like listed above I would GLADLY pay money for this app--keep up the good work!
Best 99 cents i've spent
This app ain't no one trick pony... well, there's one main trick and that is a fun, simple game for your iPhone. The graphics are tight and the sound is scintillating, especially the track annoucer.... "a lovely day at the fairgrounds." The single player option is alright, and will be great to have the cpu be a bit more competitive (playing brickbreaker in the stall for so many years has really honed my hand-eye coordination). The two player is schweeeeeeet! Very addictive and mildly hysterical. Giddyup!!!!
Good, but boring
The graphics were not all that good, rather boring. The sound/commentary was good. Rather boring after youve played in several times though. Preview was decieving to what the graphics actually look like. Maybe a scoreboard with overall times for different players could be kept. Cool concept, maybe it could be done with a jumping game with better graphics(maybe looking more like the preview image with a more cartoonish/vector look).
