needs HD support :(

I’ve been using this app for probably two years now and it’s amazing. Many features that others lack. I’m running three cameras and have had very little issues. Currently, I’m using one USB HD camera on my iMac and two foscam IP cameras at my back door and my front door. I’m notified when there is someone on my front porch, but I have the back door and living room set to record motion, but not notify me since I can get a hundred notifications on a sunny/cloudy day. The shade coming in and out make the cameras think there is motion, when it’s just the clouds going by overhead. So I’ve turned them off.
I would love to see this app step it up and get some HD coming through. As of right now, the best the app will save is 640X480 or VGA quality. The developer mentions that for the computer app to encode all of this on the fly, would be CPU intensive and not all computers would be able to support it. I don’t see why this could’t be a user set function, but regardless, they seem to talk about adding this in the future, but after two years, haven’t seen any progress. I would love to have my front porch see and save in 720p and have been looking for other viable options. There are two foscam “specific” apps that I’m researching and another called ubabycam, hoping to track down at least one that does 720p.

great app, but a few feature requests

This is an awesome app, I installed it with 3 panasonic BLC121-A wireless webcams and also use the built in imac cam to monitor my house when I'm away. Works great, but I have a few feature requests:

- the interface for turning notifications and saving snapshots on and off for all cameras is really clunky, needs some re-design to make it user friendly

- would be nice to be able to start the cameras remotely, AND, to automatically restart the iCamSource app when it crashes.

In the iCamSource app needs some other features, too:
- reorder cameras in the list on the left
- option to enable/disable cameras w/o deleting the entire profile.
- scheduling: create a single schedule entry that enables/disables all cameras at once (instead of having to create the same schedule entry for each camera individually).
- doesn't seem to support multiple webcams attached directly to my iMac at the same time.

wow very impressive program

hi tested dozens of programs and they all had shortcomings this one did everything including sound functions and other functions that I was looking for and I could find no other program that had all these features that actually work correctly it's a very good program. the program almost runs itself it will arrange how many cameras he needs to show depending on how many you have set up it will size them everything all by itself very user-friendly. it's great for using your computers as security and sound monitors. the only issue I had was that installing the software on the subject remote computers did not start the program automatically during restart I had to add shortcuts to the start up menu manually and that was not in the instructions
