For centuries, the Temple of Darkness was sealed, guaranteeing peace for the kingdom above, until the treacherous imp Ascaroth crept into the castle, slipped past the guards and the watchful King Minox, and broke the seals! Classic Ultima 1-ish but better
Ignore all the negative reviews, this isn't hard just totally different from what the average rpger remembers of classics like ultima or ys which this is closest to. The lack of info regarding equipment is part of the challenge. Just try everything til you know what it is. Just stay close to the town zone and rest when low. Use potions only when you are travelling far. This and dragon bane are far more challenging than jrpgs like vay but not nearly as unforgiving as their inspirations from the 80s. Zelda is not an rpgs and quit reviewing games based on how often you die. If you die its cause you made a bad decision just like in a mario or shooter.
Dont buy the $5 one
This is a great app and i reccamend it to anyone who likes RPG's, when first starting listen to the instructions it tells you how to cast spells and stuff... The app Perilar that costs $5 is not worth it, this free version gives you total control you are limeted to 3 races and 3 classes but they are the main ones and the storyline doesnt change it just doesn't let you go into the dark temple and most people aren't good enough to reach that anyway, i give the orginal Perilar a 2 star...
The main two things I do not like about the game is that it throws pop up questions asking do you want to change to this weapon or armor. 1. It is too easy to select the wrong options because the pop up displays right were you are pressing the screen to attack. Very discouraging to spend so much time and experience to get a decent weapon and then one bad click resets you to a basic weapon. 2. There is no way to know ahead of time if the new item is better than the old one. *Improvement suggestion* Perhaps a 2nd pop up so that if you accidently downgrade you have a chance to confirm.
