FOR EDUCATIONAL USE ONLY. WARNING: DO NOT USE TO VIOLATE ANYONE'S HUMAN RIGHTS. DO NOT USE AS A TORTURE OR ANY OTHER PUNISHMENT DEVICE. DO NOT PURCHASE OR USE IF ILLEGAL IN YOUR COUNTRY. DO NOT AMPLIFY SOUNDS WITH EXTERNAL SYSTEM. AS WITH ANY SOUND, DO NOT PLAY AT LOUD VOLUME OR HEARING DAMAGE MAY RESULT.
Intended Usage: Has your teenager experienced hearing loss due to loud noises? Use this program to ensure your teen has not damaged their hearing from loud music, such as rock concerts. Note that some of these noises cannot be heard by adults. As you age you lose the ability to hear high frequencies (called presbycusis). Thus, it is normal for younger people to hear high frequency sounds that older people cannot. Carefully test your hearing for comparison with others using this simple tone generator.
More Information: The concept of younger people hearing high frequency sounds that older people cannot was put to a very unfortunate use with certain high frequency sound generators, such as an electronic device which emits an ultrasonic sound similar to a mosquito (~17.4 kHz at 85dB). Such controversial devices are typically heard by people less than 25 years of age. Unfortunately, in some countries, such devices are used for preventing behavior such as gang loitering, graffiti, vandalism, drug usage, drug distribution, and violence. There is a lot of controversy regarding using high frequency tone generators in such a manner. Students have recently taken advantage of this technology by using so-called "Mosquito Ringtones" that only they could hear on their cell phones, but the teachers could not. Inner Four condemns any such usage on anyone, regardless of age. DO NOT USE THIS SOFTWARE IN ANY SUCH MANNER. ANY SUCH USE IS FORBIDDEN.
So, check out the hype today. Carefully find out, at low volume, if your kids can hear high frequency sounds that you cannot. Then, make your own determination!
This does not harm ears, eye or eyes, head, brain, or any other body part.

What's New in Version 3.1
Updated sound libraries.
Probably not educational
I think the sounds are a little too high for most of the age groups. Not to mention, I don't think a 14 year old has better hearing than a 16 or 18 year old. Luckily, I got this app for free, but I wouldn't recommend paying for it. You can google the Hz and listen to it that way if you are interested. It functions as advertised so I can't exactly give it a bad rating.
Works OK with internal speaker, I hooked it to an external speaker and WOW. I am sorry if causing my kids pain gives me a lil pleasure... but...
I'm 15 and can't hear anything below 22. The sounds also makes my ear ring even after it's done. idk if that's normal or bad.
