Turn your iPhone into a beautiful speedometer.
SpeedoCheck displays your current speed in real-time using the built-in GPS receiver of your iPhone 3G. But unless most of the other applications in the appstore, we are using
a sophisticated, patented filtering system to get the most out of the GPS-signal.
The speed is displayed either in analog form using various GORGEOUS, HANDCRAFTED speedometers or in a stunning old-school radioclock style with selectable color-schemes.
This is a really cool feature. Just switch to "HUD-Mode" and place your iPhone under your car's windshield at night and your current pace appears to be projected right in front of you. This feature works best with a high brightness of your iPhones screen and trust us, it looks fantastic.
SpeedoCheck can be configured to actually WARN you if you are overspeeding. And as you can expect from Fabulicious Software, it's not just a plain old warning tone. No... We have different selectable sounds and 2 specially created, really neat sounds. And there's a visual warning too, but hey, that's what everybody has ;-)
As always, every upgrade is provided to you at no cost.
If you have a question or want a special feature implemented, don't hesitate to contact us. We will respond to every single mail personally.

Speed not accurate
The speed is almost 10 MPH off. That is at very good accuracy too. I cheked this against a 700 dollar dedicated GPS unit and the physical speedometers of two cars. It looks cool and the HUD mode is very good but for a reliable speedometer, it is not worth it. I realize that it is not intended to be the main speedometer but for a program that has the specific purpose of being a speedometer I think it should be more accurate. Those are my words of wisdom. P.S. Yes, I was using an iPhone 3G with the internal GPS chip.
Fix This Please
This app works great and is very accurate + or - one to two mph the only problem I have with it is when ever I go pass the set speed limit my music stops playing from the alarm but doesn't resume after I slow down. If you can make it so I don't have to exit the app in order to start back the music Im listening to then I will rate this app 5 stars but for now you get 4...
For 2.99 its going to save me plenty of money in tickets. Doesnt pick up acceloration that well or under bridges but it doesnt matter if your a casual driver. The hud display allows for you too pay attention to your speed while consentrating on the road. At 100 miles and hour it was off by 10 while getting there and off by 2-3 at cruising. Don't suggest you try
