Slay is a simple to learn game of strategy and cunning set in medieval times. The island is divided up between the six players, and you must try to capture your enemies' land and link up your own territories to create larger and stronger ones. You begin capturing land by attacking with your peasants. Once your territories become richer you can combine peasants to make stronger and stronger people (Spearmen, Knights and then Barons) who can kill weaker enemy troops, or knock down their castles. Just be careful that you don't create too many expensive men or the territory will go bankrupt!

"At first glance, Slay looks elementary, but hidden beneath are cunning strategy elements that must be finely balanced for success" - PC Magazine
"Deceptively delightful. The graphics are simple, but the strategy is complex." - Download.com

What's New in Version 4.0.1
- fixed issues affecting iOS5 (i.e. iPad 1s)
YAAY! The best Slay version - all the good things are back!!!
I've been playing and advocating Slay for the past 8 years, on various platforms. It was my all-time favorite. The iPad version was spectacular, but there was a period where the developer (Sean) went off the reservations and added a series of UI changes that made the game ugly and mostly unplayable, as the map was hard to touch and characters were lousy. I jokingly insulted them that it was like having applied "Comic Sans" to the entire game.
I removed it from all my Apple devices until a month ago and I'm glad I did! This is a wonderful spectacular return of the game I adored! I am hooked once again! One (minor) feature request - when I win, or when they surrender, I loved having all the territories change to my color. Can you bring that back?
It's one of the best turn-based strategy games that I have ever played. The color scheme isn't pretty but playing against friends on every map makes up for it.
My only real qualm is that the new maps are so pricey. Whole games on steam cost less! I have also purchased their risk game so don't say I don't want to support this dev.
New patch is nice but lost one major feature
New patch makes the game well rounded in allowing us to play in multiple difficulty levels for each board. It also allows more maps to be introduced in the game.
One gripe about this new update is that we lost the ability to play in landscape mode. Landscape works great on iPads and I wish it will get reintroduced...
