Export Contacts

By Beach House Software

Open iTunes to buy and download apps.

Description

Finally a simple way to export your contact information from your iPhone or iPod Touch in .csv, vcard, or PDF!

You access the Export Contacts application from a web browser on your PC or Mac. Select the fields you want to export and the order, and it will generate a .csv, .vcf, or .pdf file with all of your contacts.

Now, with Version 2.0, you can generate and share your contacts directly from your ios device, eliminating the connection issues from previous versions.

Using the VCF format, you can easily import cards into popular address books such as the Apple Address Book, yahoo mail, gmail, and others.

With the PDF option, you can create a phone list or address list you can save on your computer or print.

Due to a limitation in the .pdf support on the iphone, Windows users may get warning messages when opening the generated pdf file.

NOTE: This application does NOT handle importing contacts from a file back into the iPhone/iPod address book. Please check out our Import and Export Contacts app if you want to be able to import contacts into your iPhone address book.

Install the application on your iphone or ipod and follow the directions to download your contacts to your PC or Mac.

All major web browsers and OS platforms are supported.

Customer Reviews

Passable... Missing a few basics

Bought the 2$ version. Concept is intriguingly geeky: port socket listener on device serves contact info back to a web client. Exporting ALL contact csv info means manual selection of all 44 fields :(. Csv output didn't get sorted. Server goes away if iPod goes to sleep (gotta keep wiggling your screen if you mess around too long on the client web page). If you don't refresh the client page between exports, the data returned may only contain 1 Csv field :(. Every time you refresh client web page, all field selections reset. PDF output looks very pretty, but is mostly unconfigurable :(. Not worth 2 bucks...

Worked for me

This is exactly what I needed, although I will say the user interface is a little confusing. When the app starts up it is on the screen to start the export service so you can interface via a web browser. If you click the icon top right it takes you to the screen where you can export your contacts. I choose .csv format, emailed them to my work address and imported them into Outlook in under a minute. Worked great.

Awesome app!

I saw all the horrible reviews and saw they were all for the old 1.6 version. I downloaded 2.0 today for my iPhone 4s and it works perfectly. I'm also a pretty demanding customer. Besides $2 for this peace of mind is extremely cheap in my opinion. Took me less than 60 seconds to create 2 different PDFs so very easy to use.
