This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.
With NAVIGON you can turn your iPhone or iPad into a fully functional mobile navigation system. Thanks to a faithful adaptation of the menu functions, the app fits in seamlessly with the iOS operating concept.
"All told, Navigon is a solid app that's worth its price, even next to free apps like Google Maps, our Editors' Choice for free iPhone navigation apps, thanks to Navigon's more extensive feature set, innovative optional plug-ins, and more informative display while driving." (PC Mag, Winner of the Editor's Choice Award)
"NAVIGON is currently the best turn-by-turn navigation app for
iPhone for anyone who needs world-wide options and offline support." (iMore)

Positioning your iPhone correctly in the vehicle is very important to ensure optimal GPS reception! We recommend that you use the NAVIGON Design Car Kit for the iPhone, which includes both a designer suction pad holder and a car charger, enabling you to charge your iPhone during the journey. Available from specialist retailers or from the NAVIGON shop directly at www.navigon.com!
Should you experience GPS reception problems with your iPhone, please refer to the FAQ on our website:www.navigon.com.
Allowing GPS to run in the background for extended periods can lead to a significant reduction in battery life.
Whether in the car, by bike or on foot, NAVIGON hopes you have fun navigating.

• Optimized traffic functionality
• Bug fixes and performance improvements
Has offline maps, but needs CarPlay
When you need maps and you don’t have an internet connection (or it is too congested, slow, etc) this app is exactly what you need. Google and Apple maps are just not reliable enough in this regard. I have to give the app three stars because they are way late to the CarPlay scene. This app needs CarPlay!
I've used their app since my gps was stolen from my car. I am in the residential security business and as a result I travel to all types of homes, old and new addresses, and this app never fails. Can't exist without it.
I've had enough
Update Oct-5-2017. I finally gave up on Navigon. It used to be the best, and the display with lane guidance is still the best. But the routes it comes up with are illogical and the instructions are increasingly wrong. Guides me down an off-ramp, just to put me straight onto a METERED on-ramp. Unintelligent about routing around congestion. Frequently mixes up EAST/WEST and LEFT/RIGHT when speaking instructions. I could go on.I switched to Waze a several months ago; it's not perfect but it crushes Navigon when it comes to routing and rerouting. Update Sep-1-2016:The 1-tap Work setting which I was ecited about is broken. EVERY time I tap the suitcase button the app asks if I want to enter a Work address. I tap yes, enter the address, get to the screen with a checkmark, tap the checkmark and it begins navigating. But for some reason the address is not saves, and the next time I tap the suitcase it asks me again. I also tap No and then try entering the address via "Take me to work". The app doesn't remember the address using that sequence, either. Another gripe is that the Suitacase button requires too much precision when tapping. I usually have to try 3 or 4 times. The icon is sufficiently sized (although small) but it seems like they only have 4 pixels wired fro response. I've encountered a few more unexpected wonky routes. Downgrading from 4 stars to 3. Original Aug-11-2016: Just got my hands on version 2.16.0. Will need to use it regularly for awhile to decide whether the new interface is easier and more convenient. It certainly ~feels~ more logically laid out and organized in accord with good iOS app practices. The hamburger menu button is more intuitive. Don't have much to say yet about address entry and search. If nothing else, though, it was worth updating simply to get a Work destination button. I've always enjoyed the 1-step convenience of the Home button, and wondered why has it taken more than 6 years for a dedicated Work button to appear -- finally! One thing I still hope for with every release but is again missing in this one: when I save a Favorite destination and later tap it to go there, why does Navigon insist upon asking me if I want to walk or drive, followed by the destination pre-map, then with Start navigation screen. For crying out loud -- it's a FAVORITE! Just load it and execute immediately the same as with Home (and now Work). Please at least give us the option in Settings to skip the tedium upon choosing a Favorite. This is my go-to navigation app, and I'm glad it's still getting attention. Still room for improvement, though.
