Number Cop helps you recognize spam calls and texts - before you pick up or send a reply. Save time, protect your privacy and avoid identity theft from phone scams.

Getting spam calls or text/sms spam? Number Cop is the easiest way to avoid them. Number Cop’s collaborative phone spam directory helps you identify phone scams, telemarketers and other unwanted callers trying to contact you with continuously changing numbers and text messages.

- Lookup 500.000 active phone scams indexed
- Manage personal Spam/Not Spam contacts
- Scan text messages for phishing links
- Easily report new phone spam

The iPhone and iPad version of Number Cop does not block incoming spam calls or spam text messages. This feature will be implemented when it’s technically feasible.

I didn't expect this!

For some time now I tried to get these annoying spam calls under control. But so far all attempts failed due to inefficient existing solutions. It doesn't make sense to me to blacklist spam calls myself (what most other tools require you to do). It's like a bad email spam engine that let's thru all emails and filters only the emails you mark as spam. What's the point?

But this NUMBERCOP thing is different and I like it. While I don't understand the details it seems they have an engine filtering calls that are known for spamming even though they never contacted me before. That's a much better and more proactive approach. I like that! Great job and kudos.

This app is ok. Glad it was free. On my LG, the Google Play store has an app and it's a MUCH better spam blocker. This one here you add to a spam list and if the number calls back, it's silenced. The other, it detects a spam number for you and you can manually add numbers too. The other app automatically drops the call, where as this one only silences the call and it goes to voicemail. Also, if you're like me and get 5-10 spam calls a day, this app creates a spam list on your phone, not just the app: in your actual contact list! And for me, it's a long list taking up a lot of space. For the developer: take a look at the Google Play call block app and copy it!

Spam cop

I used to save bad numbers in a 'do not answer' contact but numbers kept changing so fast I gave up and was looking for something better. Impressed with this so far. Instead of me typing in the numbers this app guesses the next numbers to spam me and it seems to keep up well with phone scams too. I had to override a couple numbers but overall good detection. Easy to set up no email address or FB etc. required.
