Customer Reviews

Sheesh, why do I bother wasting space on my iPhone with this app? As an IOS (ONLY) user, I feel like a member of the forgotten. In case y'all aren't aware, there are a significant number of IOS users out there. I can appreciate that you are "playing to the crowd," but seriously? I've been looking around at other apps.

And if you are too lazy to even bother spelling out WHAT the latest update DOES (bullet points would suffice), or how it improves the app, I guess I'm adopting your attitude - "WHY BOTHER?" If you're not going to tell me how it helps me, I'm not going to waste my time (or space). I've noticed there are a BUNCH of apps out there that put out useless updates - I don't give a RIP how "pretty" the freakin' app is, HOW IS THE FUNCTIONALITY? I also don't care about improving the "social aspects" of an app. There's waaaaay too much OVERsharing as it is. Folks don't seem to get it: you put ~every~ aspect of your life out there on the 'Net, there's a multitude of nasty vultures out there waiting to take advantage of any vulnerability that is offered. I, for one, don't plan on making it easy for them.

This doesn't seem (to me) to be asking too much - for a brief description of what the update does. I notice I'm not alone in this thought, either. How 'bout it?

Absolutely useless

This app is absolutely useless. It wiil not sychronise folders to your iOS device, it merely copies them. So you only have out of date files on your device, and any changes you make locally are lost. I cannot imagine why Dropbox do not fix this. It has been a major problem for two years now and they have done nothing to fix it in spite of tons of complaints from customers. Since Dropbox is not listening to its customers any more, it may be time to look for another cloud service vendor. This problem is driving me crazy trying to find a workaround. I have to use Documents by Readdle to synch my Dropbox folders but it is a lot of work. Bad job Dropbox.

Switching to Google Drive

I used to love how fast and easy my photos would upload from my IPhone. I then noticed several months ago each picture would take 30 seconds or longer and the pictures remaining would increase. It was really frustrating because it used to work so well. I came here to see if other people were having the same issue and I was very surprised to see how many bad reviews there are and people discussing Google Drive. I decided to give it a try and I am uploading around 5 seconds per picture. I've been using Drop Box for over 5 years and was happy with it until now. Good bye Drop Box!
