Start your engines – the most extensive iPhone Kart Racing game of all times is now available! Get into your kart and experience the thrill of speed on 16 varied race tracks. Compete in 5 different singleplayer modes with 10 well-known Konami characters in 3D cartoon style or challenge up to 6 of your friends in local or internet wifi multiplayer mode. Use the countless extras to activate the nitro boost, slow down your opponents with obstacles and take the lead. Dynamic camera balancing helps you focus completely on racing, leading to an outstanding playability. Can you cross the finish line in first place?
• Red bells give you random weapons while blue bells always give you a speed boost. Consider the layout of the track ahead of you as well as your position in the race and select which bell to go for accordingly.
• If you are having problems completing a race, try it out with different characters. Some courses are made for high-speed, some are not.
• Save your boosts for the optimal moment. Sometimes you will be able to clear obstacles that would otherwise be impossible. It’s quicker to go over something than around it.
• If you have trouble staying on course try using Robbie the Rabbit. He's a bit slow but easiest to control.

Okay, I guess. For 99 cents, it is deserving of four stars. Characters Power Pro-kun, Sparkster, and newcomer Dewey(who I find as a surprising inclusion) really made this game worth it for me. On the other hand, the presentation of this game is a bit bland, especially when compared to its predecessor on the game boy advance released, what, ten years ago?! The stages are more generic here, even if they fit some theme of whatever characters are in here, too. Pentarou shouldn't be concerned, though. But, the game is one buck, do you may as well go for it. Also, for the people that complain about it not going past the premium trials, my copy did screw up ONCE, but I was able to finish the premium trials after that. So there you go.
Special Trivia: Justin Beiber is in the game credits. I don't know whether to laugh or jump off a bridge because of hearing his name so much these days.
I bought this back when it was $.99 but it's worth the full price point. Controls are spot on and there are plenty of tracks to race on. It goes without saying that this is very, very much like Mario Kart, and that's a good thing. Heck, I'd pay Mario Kart price for a full DS version, or even a Sonic and Sega All Star's Racing on 360/PS3/Wii.
There was an update a while ago with two new characters and I wish they would do that a bit more, maybe add in a few more tracks. One track per character, at least, would be nice. Also, I have never, ever been able to play online with this title, but I don't really mind. It's a fun time waster between classes or waiting in line for something.
Worth the 99cents
While not quite Mario Kart at all, I still found this to be an enjoyable, easy to control kart game. Especially as a fan of Konami's mascots, I found it to be really cool to see Pentarou and Pyramid Head in the same game!
My only complaint is that the bat attack (hits only whoever is in the lead) can be incredibly hard to recover from sometimes.
Overall though, this is a great game for classic Konami fans who want a racer that uses the tilt motion to steer.
