Day of the Tentacle App!!!!
"Day of the Tentacle" is by far the funniest point and click game I have ever played. Kids today would find that game better than Monkey Island. It has that Beavis and Butthead style of comedy. Bernard is the nerd genius, Hogey is the burnout drummer who wants to bite hamster heads off, and Laverne pretty much resembles the life of an everyday student hypnotized by learning. She looks like she hasn't slept in days. Lol. Bottom line I'm not the only one who has asked for this game. Lucasarts needs a new game on the AppStore and what better game then something kids new and old can actually relate to. Thanks.
Brings back memories
Hopefully the good people at Lucas Arts read these reviews. I love how the game was completely upgraded, and would be more than willing to pay the $8 for the full version (even without iPad port) EXCEPT for the mouse control. Maybe this will be a moot point when iPhone OS 4 comes out, but this game could have been so much better with simple point-and-click, without having to use my finger as a mouse to drag a curser around.
Perhaps Lucas Arts could make a new SCUMM engine with a method to import our favorite games, such as Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle.
Nostalgic but too complicated
As a girl, I played this game on my PC and loved it so you can imagine my excitement when I realized it was available for my phone. The graphics are much the same as I remember them, but the controls are far too complicated. After spending 10 minutes trying to pick up the fish, I quit the game. I probably won't resume unless there is an update. There is no need to drag a cursor around, IMO. Simply tapping on the screen would suffice. The Xbox 360 version of this game plays out so much better and I will get my fill of nostalgia through that platform instead.
