Great fun

Loved the noir voice over, music, and graphics. These are worth the price by themselves. It got "stuck" a couple times but never any crashes. The puzzles are fun and challenging enough. Whoever says they are too hard needs more patience or intelligence or both. The puzzles have a logic to them-- you just need to figure it out--I don't understand why anyone would want to skip them or look up a cheat. Seems lazy and you lose much of the value of the game.

This is my first "closed" game--one that has an end. So I struggled about the price. But finally decided that there is a lot of value for your 2 bucks--as much as a movie for example and cheaper. I would have given it 5 stars but I would like to see a scoring system added so that I could play it again and beat my old score by either total points or by completing it faster each time. Overall thoroughly enjoyable. I will look for more like this.

Excellent game, very pleasantly surprised!

A surprisingly outstanding game. If you like noir movies or old-fashioned hardboiled detective stories, you’ll get a real kick out of this. One thing that makes it work so well is that it is a complete package: great gaming, wonderful 1940s or 1950s style graphics, great Mickey Spillane style dialogue, and especially (and most surprisingly to me) excellent music that evoked an old Philip Marlowe movie. On top of great gaming and first-rate production values, it has a wonderful sense of humor and fun. I thought a retro-style Sam Spade type game with a sense of humor would be almost impossible to pull off, but Big Fish Games did it. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Nick Chase and I hope this is the start of a series.

It's OK

Like the look and feel, but wanted more of the hidden object aspect...and less of the 'making roads'. The game was a little buggy. Actually, a lot buggy - when it came to the combination lock. If I could get that #%*! lock to drop down even once, I was lucky. And you couldn't reset the puzzle or go out of the scene and back in, to start over. I kept having to hard-close the game and restarting back to where I had to unscrew that blasted handle over and over. That was something else kind of needed, in places...better instruction and reset options. When I got my guy over to the fence with the wire cutter, past all those blasted spotlights, I ended up just skipping the rest, because I tried every way to clip that darn fence.
