What's New in Version 7.1
Introducing a new look that makes Twitter simpler.
New side navigation menu allows you to quickly access your profile, accounts, settings, and privacy all in one place.
Bolder headlines and rounded designs help you to identify and focus on what matters.
Links to articles and websites now open in Safari’s in-app viewer, which makes it easier to access accounts you’ve signed into and allows access to Reader mode.
New, intuitive icons make it easier to follow along and engage with Tweets.
Tweets now update instantly with reply, Retweet, and like counts so that you can easily see conversations as they’re happening.
Accessibility settings are now in a more prominent location. New settings are also available, such as increased color contrast and opening links in Reader View, to improve legibility and readability on some websites.
You can now add filters and stickers on your profile pic to better express yourself.
I've had twitter for a good amount of time now and was just getting used to the new feel of everything after it updated. The only problem is when re-installing it after I completely erased everything from my phone, it isn't formatted like it should be. Looking at the new features of the update, especially the side bar, nothing has changed like it should be. I did everything app support told me to do when having this problem but nothing will work!
Keeps Getting Worse
Twitter's been getting bad for a while. The refusal to do anything about harassment, allowing Nazis to tweet, censoring words like "queer" during Pride month. And now this new look is awful. The text is smaller, you can only write a new tweet from one place, switching profiles is incredibly annoying, especially as someone who has more than three on their phone. It's also just not pleasing to look at and I put it off as long as possible. If twitter wants to purposefully destroy their own website, they're doing a great job. I need to start making more Slack groups.
WHERE DID MY FAVORITES GO???
Whattttt???? Why have u taken away the favorites!????? I had tweets saved that were very important to me & now you have taken that away!!!!! You're going down the route of Facebook & Instagram. With every update ur app gets less user friendly. If I wanted to c things people liked I would just use Facebook. Give me an option to turn that off. I don't want to see everyone's likes. Or them see what I like! That's what retweet is for! The new layout look is horrible. Keep twitter as twitter. Don't imitate Facebook.
