***update for the new version:
Autosave added = huge plus. However other than that, all it does is add the ability to purchase, for 3.99 the new content of the new campaigns, and new create officers. It did not address the older gameplay issue which was re-assigning soldiers. Without this, it seems just lazy.
Music: Nostalgia of RTK 1 for the NES comes back, with a nice score for the iPhone that re-orchestrates those tunes
Classic RTK Play: Just like RTK 1 and 2, great for classic fans
RTK in your pocket is pretty awesome
Cons: (if fixed in update will rank much higher)
Re-assigning soldiers (major) - this must be implemented, as it is in every other RTK game, and impacts strategy a ton.
Autosave (major) - this is a staple and should be included
Officer Stat Allocations (minor) - I know RTK 1 had Cao Cao with high war, but given more recent RTK stats and the reading of the novel, the stats for him and many others are a little ridiculous.
Overall it is a good game, just blemished by fixes that should be added. Thank you, and please consider Koei, and I will give a 5 star and recommend to all.
I Miss the old rotk games. What's the point of making your own officer if you can just max his stats right off the bat? There isn't one! Best aspect of these games was making an officer as good as you could, with strengths and weaknesses, and trying to get all the skills and commands and tactics available. It was about controlling your officer and rising from a no body in a big army whose suggestions are usually ignored, to a trusted advisor or ruler. Where is the fun in just dictating what happens? I miss having to establish relationships and friendships and having to manually build up city defenses and level up the markets. You gain attachment to a city when you built it up yourself. This game is a pathetic bare bones version with all the engrossing details ripped out. Reading the three kingdoms text over and over would be more fun than this. If I could give zero stars for wrecking a favorite of mine I would.
Old school game, don't will have more update or need to buy new version rtk2?
