Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Access popular USPS.com® tools on the go with the USPS Mobile® app. Use the USPS Tracking™ tool anywhere you go, calculate shipping prices (limitations apply), find a Post Office™ or an Approved Postal Provider™, look up a ZIP Code™, schedule pickups, hold your mail, scan labels (available on certain devices), and more..
WHAT CAN IT DO?
Use the USPS Tracking™ tool to check the status of shipments sent using Priority Mail®, Priority Mail Express®, Certified Mail®, and certain other delivery services. You can give your shipments nicknames, save them in the app, and sign up for text alerts to easily keep tabs on your items.
Get easy access to My USPS.com™ where you can register for a free account and automatically see all of your inbound USPS® packages without having to enter any tracking numbers. You can also schedule delivery alerts, request redelivery, and more.
Find USPS® Locations when you need to get to a Post Office™, Self-Service Kiosk (APC®) or collection box with an easy-to-filter locator. The USPS Mobile app uses your device’s GPS to show your closest options on a map, along with their Regular Hours, Special Hours and Last Collection Times, and provides mapped results with driving, walking, or transit directions.
Look up a ZIP Code™ for any U.S. address.
Schedule a free next-day pickup and have your Letter Carrier pick up Priority Mail®, Priority Mail Express®, Global Express Guaranteed®, or Merchandise Return Services shipments from your home or office during regular mail delivery.
Request Hold Mail Service while you’re away, and we’ll keep your mail at your local Post Office™ until you return or carrier will redelivery.
Scan the barcode on shipping labels with your phone’s camera (not available on iPad 1 and iPod Touch models without rear-facing cameras). The app recognizes the shipment and stores the label number, so you can stay on top of its status.
What's New in Version 5.9
- The home screen of the app will alert users to any major anticipated service irregularities, such as planned changes to Post Office™ hours or weather delays.
I also use the USPS Informed Delivery™ service. Integration between the app and the Informed Delivery™ service would be an efficient way to leverage the strengths of both.
The USPS app should use "iPhone notifications" and let me know I have a new "Informed Delivery™ message" to review in my email.
Specific to the USPS app any important mail I send (my NETFLIX DVDs), I would like the app to allow me to report the specific Blue Box, Date & Time I mailed the DVDs. The "sent info" I captured remains with me until I need to report a problem to the USPS. At that point I choose to share the Blue Box specifics.
Same Awful USPS Service - Now Digital!
I used to be an avid user the myusps internet program. It was great at tracking packages and holding your mail. So using the mobile version SHOULD have been a no-brainer.
Wrong! This app has lost functionality with almost every update. It's gotten to the point now where I can't track packages, can't access myusps profile, can't edit a current mail hold request and can't access any of my mail hold requests.
Improvements needed to pake tracking system
App works grate but need to have a early notification system alerting the recipient of a incoming package so that someone can be home to accept the package. Also have the system list details such as if a signature is required or not. Also would like to be able to specify where all pakages must be delivered at or have opetion said such as have them held until a soecific day of the week which would save the amount of trips If there are several packages coming in a signal week. This way it would save time and gas so that they can be used to help add new and improved functions for your users.
