The graphics, storyline, mechanics and flow are all well done. Sometimes the woman is the primary character and sometimes the man. You help them along on their quest with logic decisions and explorations. This is not a hidden object game, or shoot em up game, thank goodness. It is like the classic adventure games but with way better graphics. What I especially like is the hint system. It will give you one clue at a time so you have the opportunity to just get a tiny hint to move along. You can save your game at many different spots, in case you ever want to go back or if you share your iPad, and it automatically saves your spot upon exit.
I am getting hours of game play, this is well worth the price of admission (I paid $3.99,which is pretty rare for me). Speaking of which, once you buy the game, that is it. None of the pay for extra hints, or in-app purchases or any additional charges, which I appreciate, because I expect to pay only one reasonable price for a game and that is it! I see this developer has a sequel game to this, which I will get, but I hope they are making more. It looks like the game "Runaway" is of the same genre, but $1 more, so I might check that out down the road....
Unabashedly brilliant & Timeless!!!!
This game took my breath away. I loved every single minute of this experience. It's like watching a movie & being in the movie all at once! The character voices were fantastic too. Even though there wasn't a ton of puzzles, this game kept me interested from the get-go. More more MORE please!!! Thank the stars above there is another game - so thankful to all who had a hand in its creation!!! Make sure to read about how it all started(courtesy of the Directors Cut)& lastly, the music. So lovely & enjoyable! Thank you again!!
PS. I really liked that we had two main characters. It would've been better if Nico had been utilized more. George had a waaaay bigger part & I feel we missed out on Nico. Great game in spite of this fact......Thanks!
A fun interactive adventure
I enjoyed this interactive puzzler. The storyline was interesting and the gameplay went on much longer than I'd expected. The puzzle sequences tended to be fairly elaborate and I ended up using the puzzle hints more than I usually like to. Also the interface was a bit frustrating to wrangle with at times and the game was occasionally glitchy. For instance, I eventually stopped trying to review the manuscript at Nico's apartment because there was no easy way to exit that view. I basically ended up quitting the program, which would "rewind" the scene. That said, I am looking forward to exploring with other Broken Sword games.
