GPS Location shows your current location, date & time to the second along with a scrollable map. Share your coordinates over SMS (text message), email, Twitter, Facebook or Weibo! If you share over email, Twitter or Facebook, GPS Location also attaches a screenshot so you can easily remember what the surrounding area looked like. You can copy your coordinates & locate anything you can find on the map with accurate crosshairs.
Have a telescope that needs your coordinates & the current time? Need to know the coordinates for your hunting stand? Going on a trek and need to find your lat/long? Want to scroll around the world and see where your favorite landmarks are? GPS Location is what you need.
After launch, the map automatically centers on your location. Coordinates of the map's center are shown in three formats (DD-MM-SS.S, DD-MM.MMM and DD.DDDDD). Elevation is shown feet & meters. Your phone's time is shown in Greenwich Mean Time (aka Zulu time). To recenter the map on your location, just hit the crosshairs button.
iPod touches, 1st generation iPhones, and wifi-only iPads do not have GPSs. These devices will not be as accurate.
The iOS GPSs output in the WGS84 datum. GPS Location display coordinates in WGS84.

Rely on this!
I rely in this app to record the exact locations of dog parks for Mutt Maps, a Web site and mobile app we are developing. I take a screen shot of this app at the street entrance of the park, the best parking area, and the gate of the dog park (sometimes, these are over a quarter mile apart!). My husband, a contractor, uses it when writing estimates to identify the location of the work to be done on large properties. It seems very reliable, though if you do not have good satellite connection, you may need to press the icon a few times to make sure the satellite has you in the right place. I use the hybrid display so I can confirm the coordinates are right.
When Apple Maps won't get you there
Sometimes Apple maps won't get you where you want to go. When you enter an address, it doesn't take you to the right location. At times like this, it would be nice to know what the GPS coordinates are at your destination so that you can get there correctly next time. I've used other apps which help identify my GPS coordinates, but they were cluttered, difficult to use, and just plain ugly. GPS Location is easy to use and has an elegant interface. It's simple, clear, and just what I needed.
All apps should be as good.
This app performs a specific task in a simple, strait forward fashion. I use it mainly for placing geocaches. For those complaining about accuracy, this is a function of your GPS, NOT the app. You can use the crosshairs to pinpoint your location. This makes it great for finding your car, a geocache, or just about anything. I can't think of a single way to make this app any better. Well done!
