Best Documents File Folder Manager App for the IPhone
I'm a Samsung user, that was until a recent broken digitizer, from an accident at my workplace, forced me to get a phone asap and the iPhone 5s is what I'm using now. This App is the best thing ever, for the iPhone, and it works beyond the iPhone's limitations, to provide users with a simple and effective way to access stored files and manage them, without the need for being forced to use the iCloud or costly istores. It feels as if I'm using a Samsung galaxy phone, with easy file access and storage options, but with the look of an iPhone. Its taking a while for me to get used to the iPhone's interface and frustrating limitations and restrictions, that aren't present on Samsung galaxy phones because Samsung phones are more like easy to use computers, but I'm beginning to like the switch because of helpful apps like this. Thank you so much developer! Keep up the great work! 😀✌️
Highly recommended app for college and other vocations
Documents is the perfect companion to other apps that I use, including PDF Converter, Dropbox and iCloud. Unlike the Windows equivalent (Drawboard PDF), highlighting follows the text flawlessly with the Apple Pencil and notes (both typed and written) display well. The app also allows multiple tabs and even a mode for searching for articles and items online to save as files to import back into the app; a must for researching for a paper.
The interface is a little cluttered, but outside of Notability's handwriting and recording functions Documents is tied for first place regarding must-have apps for an iPad Pro to finish college or use for one's work.
A good file system for iOS + suggestions
I love this app and it's a great file system for iOS. It brings the iPad one step closer to replacing a desktop. Especially with the "open in" feature. I hope this app is compatible with wireless hard drives.
I have some suggestions: a recycle bin. I don't like that there is no recycle bin. If you accidentally delete something it's gone forever. Having a recycle bin would make someone feel secure if they accidentally delete something.
Previews on thumbnails. This is like what Windows does. Their folder icons have previews of what's inside the folder.
Also different icons for different file types would be wonderful so it's less confusing! Thank you!
UPDATE 5/3/17: the ability to edit album art and an equalizer for music would be nice!
This may be a bit of a stretch, but a mini batch file converter for images (png to jpg) would be wonderful for those of us who take a bunch of screeenshots.
I hope the staff at Readdle takes this into consideration. Thank you for making the file system iOS needed. This shows that iOS doesn't need a full OS, only dedicated apps.
