If you have a kid then watch out!
Just a warning to all you parents out there... once your kid gets ahold of this game you're going to hear "can we play on the ipad" more than you already do!
My 6 year old loves this game, she plays both solo and begs me and her mother to join her all the time. It's entertaining, quick, and great for a short game at the restaurant or just playing around at home.
The graphics are great, the gameplay is an old familiar (to those of us who remember hippos) and it's very well executed on the ipad.
I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a quick and fun app to load up with their kids on the go or at home for a games night.
Hungry Hungry Gators!!!!
I originally had the free iPhone version of this game, but went ahead and spent the buck to get the .99 version without the ads. It's kinda addicting and so I went ahead and got the iPad version. It really is a neat remake of the classic Hungry Hungry Hippos game that everyone played as a kid. I really like how this can have up to 4 gators (iphone was limited to 2 b/c of the screen size and processor).
All in all, a great game and I can't wait to see the updates coming out in the near future.
This was one of the first apps i actually spent money on; I bought it for my daughter and we were excited to play something similar to the classic hungry hippos game. However, after playing it for just a few times, it is obvious the game is just not all that exciting or interesting. There is never any change from game to game, the gators are hard to 'steer', and the monkey does the same annoying screeching after each game. I'd like to see options for different ponds, 'bonus' ducks worth more points, easier to control gator heads, and maybe 'prizes' that can be awarded to the winner of each round,
