LiquiPad HD is the ultimate visual toy. It turns the surface of your iPad into several different virtual liquids that respond to and interact with your touches. As relaxing as it is entertaining, LiquiPad HD is also a non-demanding way to keep your mind visually stimulated while listening to music, audiobooks, meetings, lectures, speeches, etc. And, of course, it's a great way to show off the power of your iPad. Use any of the 12 built-in themes, or use your own photos for limitless possibilities!
"Visually Stunning, responsive, and extremely compelling" - Common Sense Media
"If you want to melt and swirl, trip and travel in visual bliss you have come to the right spot. Awesome." - Jordan Rudess, Dream Theater, Creator of MorphWiz
Using LiquiPad couldn't be simpler. Touch or slide your finger(s) across the screen to create and manipulate the waves.
Or, tap the gear icon in the lower left to open the settings menu.
Tip: If you would like to take a screenshot, you can do so by pressing the home and sleep buttons at the same time. The screen will flash, and the image is saved to your Photo Library. This works with every iPhone/iPad app.
- Intelligent, speed-sensitive multi-touch support

- Automatic Wave Generators, such as raindrops, for use as an animated photo display
- Realistic Wave Propagation and Animation at 60 frames per second
- Realistic Liquid sound effects
What's New in Version 1.5
Thank you for your continued support. Please update your reviews.
• Vastly improved Tilt Mode
• Improved touch interactions
• Liquids now react to stationary fingers
• Rain now creates refractive streams when Tilt Mode is active and iPad is held in a vertical orientation - like a window in a storm.
• Fixed inverted tilt axis when iPad was auto-rotated, then turned to portrait mode
• Disabled auto-lock when used as a photo display.
• Performance optimizations
• Additional Sound Effects
Good at what it does, though the function is not tremendously useful
This app appears to offer. Truly realistic simulation of liquids and how they respond to stimuli. Kind of neat to watch for a couple of minutes. I somehow ran across it while searching for an app to rotate my pictures. I was under the (wrong) impression that these liquid effects would be applied to pictures and that I'd be able to save them. WRONG! Once the effects are done, your picture goes back to normal and there's no way to stop or save the image at any point. Had I read that properly, I certainly would not have given my $2 for it. Sorry, just being honest.
After reading the description again, it makes no mention of saving images or anything else of that nature. I guess that's what I get for buying apps in the late hours of the night when I should be sleeping.
Great for toddlers!
My 22 month old will play with this for 30 minutes or more at a clip. The only improvements I would like to see is a screen lock, so you have to press an actual button on the ipad to change settings, as the on screen settings icon seems to draw his attention when everything else is moving. I keep having to fix the settings for him. The other thing it needs is a fix for the occasional sticking ripples. I keep seeing little dimples in the ripples that won't go away weather the ripples are moving or not the little dimples stay put its really weird.
I have the most fun with personal photos!
The delight this program gives me and my family is well worth the investment! All ages enjoy seeing their photos turn into syrup or puddles! It can distract a crying baby immediately and cause only laughter and smiles!
