An experiment in touch based controls of pitch and volume for multiple tones resulted in an app that's fun to interact with, and produces a wide range of different sounds and textures.
Drag some dots into the work area and carefully position for controllable out of phasing, or shake the device to randomize the pattern.
Use touch to position up to 40 tones in the work space
Beats to set up rhythms, with individual tempo multipliers
Slider controls for motion setup
Pause so you can grab the fast moving ones
Save/load your patterns
Auto save/load of active composition when exiting/starting app
Shake device to randomize all active tones
Individual tone motion and beat randomisation button
Apply feedback to the pattern to put the 'noise' in noise machine

Great Beautiful Noise
Noise doesn't seem to be a good word to identify this synth with but for this review will consider it. First off, there are several waveforms on the two oscillators that are available to the user program. Also part of this synth are a sequencer that is programmable to a certain extreme. You can tell it when to leave out events so when it is playing it's random sounds they will not be part of the sequence. You can put note events into it, although if you can I have found where.
There are several modes to the sequencer which crest Akley change how it works. There are also couple of different effects available as well as density settings for how the sequence will turn out so you do have at least that much probability of the sequence play. This is important because it gives you the means to set up beats beat like progressions of notes that are workable within song structures. My band recently use the synth track and found it to be most useful, particularly for these notes like structures, we were then able to track over and create our own specific musical events with different instruments and in some cases non-synth instruments.
Whilst being a simple instrument Noise Synth is still quite affecting as to how can be used and creates wonderful ambient and rhythmic sounds.
Well worth investigating.
