Description

Are you ready to experience Arkham Horror like never before?

The Arkham Horror Toolkit is the ultimate accessory for Arkham Horror, the Fantasy Flight Games classic cooperative board game of Lovecraftian terror and adventure. This suite of custom digital components has been designed to make your games even more fluid and fun, eliminating the need for additional bookkeeping and shuffling!

The Arkham Horror Toolkit includes:
Arkham Horror custom dice roller
Investigator tracking sheet
Arkham Location and Gate cards
Interactive maps

A major appealing aspect of the Arkham Horror Toolkit is the digital library of Location and Gate encounter cards that can be used to randomly resolve your encounters without having to shuffle cards. Not only does this make setup even easier, but when used with the included Investigator tracking sheet, is a great way to face the Ancient One in a solitaire game!

What's New in Version 1.2.4

A tremendous app for Arkham Horror Play

I have to say this is one of the best apps I have ever seen to come out for board games in general. It dramatically reduces the setup and prep time by essentially removing all need for the encounter decks. It handles all of the shuffling for you, contains a built in dice roller, investigator sheet management with the investigators from all of the expansions available (note you must pay between 99 cents, to 3 dollars to unlock the expansion content, a fair price for what it does). It allows you to track your clues and money via the app, contains the maps to all of the expansions, and allows you to draw cards simply by double tapping the location you are on, and handles multiple location effects quite eloquently. For example in the case of the Silver Lodge if you double tap the picture of the
Lodge it gives you a Silver Lodge encounter, if you double tap the text of the effect below it gives you an Inner Sanctum encounter. All in all it is a tremendous asset and speed up to the game and I can not recommend it enough to those who have an iPod touch, iPhone or iPad. The only thing I wish they had was an iPad centric app that used the iPads higher resolution. Other than that though it is a fantastic product. Thank you Fantasy Flight.

If you own Arkham Horror, you need this.

Leave half the cards in the box! This toolkit handles it all for you. Encounters for all locations and otherworlds. Makes adding and removing expansions a complete breeze. You will wonder how you played before, and suddenly have enoughg extra time to care about your score!

A few nitpicks:
I dont like using it to track my character. It's done well enough, but could do with tracking multiple characters (my friends don't all have iOs devices)
Alphabetizing. Innsmouth locations. Seriously. Where was QA on that one?
Mythos cards would be nice too, but I understand not including them.
Universal app? Seriously the ipad could rock this app so much more than it does.

So much potential

This app could be amazing. It could save so much space on the table, it could keep track of everyones' statistics and much more! It does almost nothing well unfortunately. There is no support for Darrell, Gloria or Jim in terms of what is drawn when, or how. There is no concept of a depleting deck, runs of the same card are very frequent, pointing to possible problems with randomization. The Mythos deck is also unfortunately missing, along with Ancient Ones and any sort of game state tracking beyond one investigator. Unless everyone buys this app, you're out of luck.

Having said all that, Arkham horror is an amazing game, and I don't regret giving FFG my money; they've more than earned it making quality entertainment. I just wish that same quality was expressed in their electronic additions, and that future changes make this app a better buy.
