Knit-n-Count is a great tool to add to your knitting collection. This app allows you to track multiple projects at any time and saves your progress as you go.
A large count button allows you to use it without looking, just tap it and keep knitting. Pleasant sounds will keep you in tune with your work for row counting and pattern repeats and the alarms will get your attention when needed.
Track pattern repeats, row repeats, frogging for mistakes and set reminder alarms when you hit a certain row that you specify.
You can get rid of those sticky notes or notepads laying around now that Knit-n-Count keeps track for you. There is also a handy little section for notes that allows you to add your own content for patterns, comments, reminders and more.
What's New in Version 1.2
- Added Pattern Repeat Alarm
- Added Status Indicators for Alarms
- Added Status Indicators for Repeat Counts
I have this app on my iPad and was very disappointed that it didn't download onto my iPod Touch as did most of my other purchased and free apps. I did finally decide that I needed this app on my iTouch and have purchased it. I transferred my projects from my iPad by pasting them into the notepad app which was transferred by the cloud and put onto my iPod note pad. Then I copied and pasted it into this app. Then I discovered the pink writing. I really hate pink. Why must I have pink on my application. Knitting is something that many people do,men included. I find that the use of the color pink this app is absolutely degrading. It is sexist and detracts from the look of the app. I took off a star because of the color!
It works and I have purchased other stitch counting apps that don't. I was looking for an app that would allow me to track multiple pattern repeats and multiple projects and this seems to do all that I need. I would, however, like to be able to upload photos of each project and I can't find a way to do that with this app. The good news is that Knit-n-Count works better than the app that does allow me to upload photos. I guess we have to choose our battles!
Awesome for multiple projects
Perfect if you have 10 or less projects going at a time. I've tried nearly every counter out there and this one wins. The subcounter is a great little extra feature, just remember that the first row is 0.
