I have all the omnifocus apps for the various devices, but I was hoping to find something that was a bit more light weight to use.
I bought the ToDo iOS app and the OS X app. The iOS app wanted my email address first thing, there didn’t seem to be a way to continue without giving it one. Seems to me that should be optional when you first open the app. Additionally, there is no explanation on why they might need it. Is it necessary for the functionally of the app?
When setting up the OS X app I had a question, I went to the help menu. It sent me to a web page that said "The page you were looking for doesn't exist.” I was trying sort why they were pusing their own cloud service ToDo Pro. “the only service that fully supports every feature available”. The app vs service and the explanation of what features you don’t get is a bit muddy. I also still need to figure out how to integrate ToDo with the native calendar app.
If I can navigate omnifocus which is a much more complex environment, I shouldnt have this many (hopefully temporary) roadblocks just trying to get the thing setup. Not really off to a good start, but I’ll revisit this review after spending more time with it.

I just struggled for years using OmniFocus to manage my recurring daily tasks and reminders; although it syncs well with the iOS app, the experience felt too complicated for anything but big projects
The Reminders app from Apple is too simple, and was lacking in user experience. Plus, the iOS Reminders app has a few bugs that made the experience frustrating.
Todo has turned out to be the perfect answer. I sync through DropBox with no problems. The UX is great; I can see all my tasks, and their project categories and contexts. Both iOS and OS X apps are designed with similar UX. The whole experience is so simple and intuitive. Wonderful! (And, it was a LOT less expensive than OmniFocus)
I would whole-heartedly recommend this with the iOS version as well.
I have used this app for many years. I had an issue with one of my Macs (of two) and received and immediate response from support and a fix which worked. The representative was polite helpful and stuck with me until the problem was tested and solved. He also helped me to remove old versions which were still on my Macs. This app synchs really well across devices, is intuitive and has great organizational features. A definite plus, with great support. Also, switched over from I-Cloud to Drop-Box, so there is always a saved version of my work.
