Customer Reviews

Outstanding tool for making drive related decisions.

I don’t use DaisyDisk often, but when I am figuring out how to migrate to new drives and need to clear space on existing drives this app is simply fantastic.

Case in point is the situation I am in right now. I have large external drives that are getting full. I have a comprehensive backup plan. I just got a new iMac. So, it’s time to clean house and figure out my storage and backup strategy that will carry me through the next 2 to 3 years.

DaisyDisk allows me to drill into all the info I need. The interface is gorgeous as well.

Helped this visual thinker open up some space

Its true. Finder could do the same thing. But….
Until I saw with my own eyes the relative size and location of some files, finder was just a useless list.
I’m on a 256gb SSD and do large video files and always scrambling for space. I just found a “forgotten” windows sector from Parallels that was 40gb. Haven’t used it for 2 years so forgot it was there. Gone.
Now, here is the best part. Sick of turning hidden files on/off? I was.
Daisydisk shows you everything, and a simple right click takes you to it in finder, hidden or not.

A very useful and thoughtful tool to manage drive space

Title says it all! First heard about this app from the Mac Sparky podcast. Although I had another similar application, I grew to like this one much more! Glad I spent the money on it as I have used it many times.

What I especially like about this app:

Graphical representation of entire disk and disk space.
Ability to ‘queue’ your drive space changes before committing to them.
Integration wth social media so that you can share your drive space-saving results.

Fantastic! Highly recommended!!
