This is the Mac version of the famous iPhone game Alpine Crawler.

Alpine Crawler is a cross country vehicle simulator. You can prove your skills and bravery on the mountainsides of the Alps with a strong rear wheel drive pickup.

Your car can be damaged and your driver hurt, if you are not carefully. If your health bar reaches zero, you lose the race on that level.
You can control your car’s speed with the gas and brake pedals and you can move forward or backward.

Pay attention that your car doesn’t roll over or get stuck.

You can control your car with the keyboard or with the mouse.

Customer Reviews

Two-button gameplay. I think.

The text in the game is unreadable, so I had to guess what the controls are. Keep selecting the top button in any stack, and then use the up and down cursor keys to accelerate and brake. That's about it. It's fairly dull, but "Crawler" is a misnomer: it doesn't even remotely resemble the Alps, and you're expected to race pell-mell across someone's crayoned-in financial report graph. If you slow down to a crawl, there's no traction to speak of. Plus, there's some clock or other that runs out — not that I can see any clock counting up to any limit — but it takes away the fun because of this "race against the clock" business.

I notice that above this review text as I type, the App Store suggests "If you need support, please visit Alpine Crawler Supper >" but on their website, there's no mention of this edition of the game. I guess we call it "abandonware"?

Compatibility with dual displays

The overall game is awesome but sometimes I want to play the game on my secondary display fullscreen and leave my primary display open with another application but the game shows a white screen and the window gets corrupted. I will appreciate it if this bug could be fixed in the upcoming update.

I recommend it

The game is good and the gameplay is very user-friendly. I would like to see more levels though. Maybe it'd be better to add a feature where you can choose between various cars which you can upgrade, change the design of, etc.
