Great Tech Support
This is my first review and I must say that their tech support is really great. When I've updated to iOS 9, I lost all my data from the app and panicked. I've been using this app for about two years and to suddenly lose everything made me a bit depressed. Luckily I read a review here saying how tech support was a great help, so I decided follow their advice. I submitted a help request form (I had to wait longer for a reply though because tech support wasn't available on weekends) and they gave me advice on how to get my data back. Because of their help, I was able to get all my data back safe and sound. I was lucky because I had backup files from iCloud before I updated to the new iOS. So my advice to you is to always have some sort of place to backup your data, because you'll never know if one day all of your entries will be gone from updating.
This app is amazing and I can't thank enough for tech support helping me out.
Truly, a well thought out app
Refined, functional, clean. I have the app on my MacBook, iPad and iPhone, and it has been a pleasure to use. A few years have passed since I made the purchase, and I have found it to pass the test of time. Day one is a great place to keep all of my notes and journal entries. Moreover, because you can sync Day One with cloud services such as iCloud and DropBox, there is very little risk in losing your data like you would if you kept your data locally on your device. Truly, a well thought out app. I would recommend it to anyone who has a need for a central place to keep their writing. It is a bit pricey, but if you already have a system and a habit to take notes and to journal, I think it's worth the long term investment.
Cool Journaling App
I downloaded this app hoping that I would use it because I think that journaling is a healthy habit, but I expected that I would never really use it. I was wrong because I use it every day! I write about anything that’s on my mind regarding work or free time, and it’s super easy to start an entry and format in an attractive way. I love the photo headers and the different text styles. Tagging is also an amazing feature. The only thing that I think is weird or bad is the “home” screen that you see when you enter the app. There are large buttons for a photo entry or text entry, and they have a dark background. These two buttons take up almost half of the screen, and there’s really no need for it. Hopefully, that will be redesigned. Otherwise, it’s a good app that helps me to keep a journal!
