Customer Reviews

Less than stellar, but ok

I was looking for a quick tool to learn some basic Java syntax and command structure. This does fit that need. However.....

The user interface for the program is terrible. I can't resize a window. I can't copy and paste code samples to an IDE to experiment. It is very very basic. Variable names are confusing - in the examples for strings we see a line of code: String str = "Hello World!"; Which is the variable name?

What really made me write a review is the following quote from "Strings" about Modifying Strings and converting a string to all upper or lower case:
These methods are useful, for example, in the typical programing classroom assignment of evaluating whether or not a string is a palindrome.
I've never seen a classroom example comparing two strings for a palindrome, which is where two words are the same forward and backwards.

For the $2.00 I paid, it was worth while because I was using this in a location without internet access. Did it give me some help? Yes. Would I buy it again? No.

It is a good app, but it lack a search feature… please add..
