"[Writing Kit] manages to combine a rather powerful set of features, and yet it remains very simple to use, with an uncluttered interface. If you write anything on that requires you to use source material, you should probably check out Writing Kit." — WIRED Gadget Lab
"It’s app as multitool, seeking to provide all the functions that a web-native author might want in their day-to-day work. What I find interesting about it is the way of thinking about how you carve the world up into tasks. From a user experience design standpoint, it’s a tuned set of tools for a particular kind of user working on a particular kind of job." — Fast Company's Co.Design
"I’m going to tell you about another one that makes those long writing sessions easier – Writing Kit. If you’re one to frequently use Markdown and do research while writing, then Writing Kit is definitely for you and worth the admission price." — AppAdvice
"This app has been this week’s revelation for me. I’ve been trying several note-taking apps in the past weeks, but as far as Markdown goes, Writing Kit is a winner." — MacStories
"Incredibly robust and full featured for what it is" — The Brooks Review

Great Tool for Markdown Authors
As a professional writer and editor writing almost entirely for the web, I spend most of my day in TextMate with a custom bundle system. This has made it difficult for me to compose drafts on my phone or iPad because I'm so used to not only the syntax, but also the quick ability to link to another source.
Writing Kit is the closest app I've found that can replicate my highly-customized setup in iOS. Not only does it sync with Dropbox, it supports CloudApp for uploads, TextExpander, and multiple file types.
The built in browser, a cut-down version of the fantastic Cyberspace is just icing. I frequently start a post on my MacBook Pro or iMac and then finish or make edits on the subway on my phone or iPad.
The app is a real gem for writers, especially those of us who live and die by Markdown.
The support for Fountain may just be the coolest new development I've seen.
Vesper is my go-to notes app but Writing Kit is my tool for doing longer form writing.
Fountain support is seriously lacking
I bought this app for the fountain support as I felt that the available screenwriting apps for the iPad were either overpriced (like Final Draft's $30 price tag), required you to constantly have cloud access (like Celtx), or just plain sucked.
Problem is that this app doesn't totally preview fountain elements as it should. Dual dialogue doesn't work, bold and italics don't work, scene numbering isn't happening, and who knows what else I'm missing since I just bought this.
I know the developer takes this pretty seriously, so I'm hoping he takes an in-depth look at the Fountain syntax and gets Writing Kit to follow it correctly.
I've been using other iOS editors for a while and finally tried this one...and holy cow! For those who want to be able to look something up the second it pops into your head while you're writing, this is for you! And you can even have it put the looked up website right into your text file as a markdown link! Wow.
Totally worth the money.
