Capture — The Quick Video Camera

Ever want to video record the perfect moment but miss it because the iPhone camera is too slow or left on Photo mode? Never miss another moment with Capture!
Capture is like a record button for your home screen. It immediately starts recording video after launch and saves the video to your Camera Roll after quit.
Here's what people are saying:
• CNN.com: "No more missing moments by a split second"
• Wired.com: "this could be the best 99 cents you’ll spend today"
• Gizmodo.com: "this app definitely deserves a place [on the iPhone Dock]."
• CNET.com: "Capture is downright ingenious, and absolutely essential"
Here are the benefits Capture gives you:
• Quickly start recording video with a single tap
• Avoid distractions with minimal UI
• Leave the default camera app on Photo mode
• Focus on tap or auto-focus*
• Record using rear or front facing camera*
• Perfect for video memos or video blogs
• Toggle rear light
• Use grid lines for rule of thirds*
• Double-tap to view full frame
• Lock camera orientation*
• Disable record-on-launch*
• Save video for iTunes File Sharing*
(*Available in Settings app.)
WARNING: Capture only works on iPhones equipped with a video camera running iOS 4 or above. iPhone 3G and original iPhone are not supported.
Three quick tips if your video doesn't show up in the Camera Roll: (1) give the iPhone more time to copy over the video; (2) check for the video in iTunes when your iPhone is plugged in, in iTunes File Sharing; (3) clear space from your iPhone so there's enough room for new video to be saved.

What's New in Version 1.7
Updated for iOS 7.
Leave it running 'in background'
Some of you complain that it's not working (frozen). I see this happens (on subsequent first start) if I have double-pressed Home to show all running apps and swiped up on the app to actually close it... then on next start, it's frozen. This does NOT happen if you simply leave it running in the background. When frozen, just press the Home button to return to home pages, then tap the app icon again. It will continue to work -immediately- on subsequent starts if you don't -actually- close the app. Leave it running in the background. I've emailed support about this 'bug'... perhaps an update will fix it.
- Other than that, it works great on my iPad Air and iOS 9.2.1.
Doesn’t work on my iPhone 6+
Just downloaded it, made sure all the settings match the simple set up in the photo on the iTunes store App page, clicked the launch/record icon and everything looks fine-- I’m seeing the video feed on screen, the auto-focus is working, yet the video timer counter never engages. It won’t actually record. Which is kind of the one and only point of the app.
Checked the other instruction ‘caveats’— plenty of disk space, etc.
Must be nice to just let money trickle in for nothing. I think I’m gonna write some non-working apps too!
No Longer Works
I used to LOVE this app, but recently (on my iPhone 5s) it only works about 1/3 of the time. It will launch, and then either just show a black screen and not record, or show the current scene on the screen, but it won’t automatically start recording like it’s supposed to. When this second thing happens, you can’t even tap the record button to force it to start recording.
This was the best app of its kind, so I really hope the developers fix this soon.
