Description

PopClip appears when you select text with your mouse on your Mac. Instantly access context-specific actions including copy and paste, plus extensions like Send to Evernote. If you select text containing a URL, email address or file path, PopClip can open it. Select a misspelled word, and PopClip offers corrections. Select any text to do a web search with those terms, or select a single word to get the dictionary definition.

More than 100 free extensions are available, including Paste and Match Style, Translate, Send to Evernote, Word Count, Capitalize and much, much more. See http://pilotmoon.com/popclip/extensions.

Please note: PopClip works in most Mac apps, but not in all. For an up-to-date list of known incompatible apps, see http://pilotmoon.com/popclip/apps

What's New in Version 1.5.6

This is a small update, mainly to fix an issue with PopClip on macOS Sierra. I have fixed the annoying bug where "Icon Hidden" dialog would appear every time at startup if you have the menu bar icon hidden. Plus other minor tweaks and fixes. Thanks to those who have reported bugs and made suggestions. As usual you can contact me by email on support@pilotmoon.com and @PopClipApp on Twitter. Thanks also for your App Store reviews or ratings. Cheers, Nick.

Love this little app!

This is a great little app that saves me tons of time! I spend most of my day either resaerching topcis or reviewing/revising document written by written by others of my team. PopClip accelerates the process of doing both. When I’m researching on the web I just highlght a piece of text and up comes the PopClip menu so I can clip it directly to DevonThink, or when I’m working in a document — again must highlight the text and most likely the action I want to take is going to show up on the PopClip menu. I particularly love the Paste= which is paste with formattting. I never can remember the keyboard shortcut for that. The one negative is it doesn’t work in PowerPoint where I do spend a good bit of time and boy do I miss it there. The developer is aware of this and I’m sure would make it happen if possible.

If you do buy the app (and you really should if you work with text) be sure to click the + button under the Action menu (looks like a puzzle piece in the PopClip menu bar) this will take you to the PopClip action page which has dozens and dozens of additional Actions.

Great purchase at $9.99 — a real steal at the holiday price of $4.99

Tremendously Useful Utility!

This app is perfectly accesible without being annoying! I was afraid it would become bothersome to always have a pop-up options when I select text, but as soon as you move your text away from the pop-up, the pop-up disappears; also, you have the option to white-list certain apps if you would like to do that.

Just check out the incredible list of extensions available and you’re sure to find a number of actions that will speed up your workflow!

Love it!

This tool is like sharing clipped text or links on speed - it saves tonnes of time during the day - especially to safari, mail or Evernote, which is where most of my data goes. I actually turned it off for a day to see if it made any difference and by lunchtime was pretty cranky and slowed down - you don’t realise how much you use it until it’s not there. Awesome little tool - magic!
