"Box Cat comes highly recommended, as a quick arcade fix with lasting power." —Touch Gen

"It has a Rush Hour mode, which is super fun. It puts you on a double size street and there's cars coming down every lane. Basically you wreak havoc running into all these cars and you can build up super huge combos." —Touch Arcade

"Box Cat feels like a catharsis or apology for all those animals that were shamelessly harmed in games such as Frogger. Instead of creatures being run over by cars, cars are being run over by Box Cat." —

"The system works because as you play you get better, and the difficulty of the objectives increases to match your new-found car-destroying skills." —Pocket Gamer

"Imagine an 8-bit Burnout's Crash Junctions except you're driving a cat" —Shaun Inman, Creator of The Last Rocket

Enjoyable, with a Retro feel!!

This game literally stopped me from getting ready for a bike ride, as soon as I started playing I was hooked. The controls are excellent and love the choice between using the simple on screen button controls or the tilt function. The retro music fits the game perfectly, and being a fan of retro feel games, this feels like an instant classic. Don't be fooled by the look of simplicity, this game has a great array of achievements to earn as well as just the right challenge hardness in the game objectives... plus it works with Game Center. I am happy with the price I paid for this app, I have a feeling i will play with this app more then the high end game apps. I also like that the menu is clear and easy to go through, as well as the help. The next best thing is I have not ran into any problems, or errors using my Ipod Touch!

An addictive game using only retro graphics and simple play.

While most are games are easily good from complex strategy or intense customization, it takes true genius to make a game with only a left, right and dash button as amazing as Box Cat. Where Frogger left off avoiding cars, Box Cat takes a different spin by creating chaos on the streets by crashing, dashing and smashing vechiles while retaining a quick pick-me-up approach. With fast learning and a constant hunger to destroy traffic, this game for both youngsters looking for fun or hardcore joystick junkies wanting to take first on the leaderboards. Retro graphics, uncomplicated mechanisms, amazing gameplay, one portly squared shaped feline to tie them in all together.

A fun, if repetetive, retro game

Box Cat is simple in its gameplay: move left or right to smash cars and collect coins that can help you along the way. Also present are plenty of unlockable cats and missions that keep the gameplay varied. With a slightly unrespinsive button control scheme and a tilt control scheme, Box Cat shines in its addictive gameplay. However, the games's music is very grating on the ears; a mute button would be handy. I was also very disappointed to find no 'endless' mode, as all of the modes present are timed or limited in some way.

Overall, Box Cat is a fun game, but its repetition and terrible music may not be everyone's cup of tea.
