Good but needs improvements on GUI and needs other features
I like that you can track your exercises. I like that you can log the sets, reps, weights of different exercises.
I wish that the app could let you see the previous workout set on the particular exercise that I am performing on that day as I am doing it. For example, I am doing bench press. I do 7 reps of 135 pds. Then 6 reps of 115. But I want to see what I did, what weights and reps I did last time so that I can gauge which weight and rep would be ideal for me.
IF the app can also perform an algorithm for me to give recommendations on what weight I should do on that day to push myself, then that would be unique and a plus.
I also want the app to log how long I'm in the gym. From the moment I enter in the sets to the last set, I want the app to log how long I have been exercising.
I want charts and graphs showing how my strength has increased. Not just weight. The graphs can show possibly some patterns and an understanding of my progression of strength, weight increase, increase in running time, etc.
I want to chart and log my progress in a more convenient way, which is very motivating for me. That's what the app should be doing. That should be one of the main goals of the app.
Crashes wiith custom excercises
I just downloaded this and found it did not have some excercises which I would consider "normal" such as Barbell Overhead Press , Leaning Lateral Raise and some others. So I tried to add these excercises by tapping custom excerises.
I added the exercise but when I saved it I notcied when I click on the excerise their is a big picture of a pencil and a checkmark box. My custom instructions are overlayed right on top of this picture making it impossible to read the first line of text.
Additionally it is frozen it only shows about two lines of text and then cuts off the rest. Their is no way to scroll or see the rest of the instructions.
If you press the (i) you can see all the instructions but yet the muscle primary, secondary muscle groups and difficult is all N/A and their is no way to edit it.
If you try to edit the custom exercise you can only change the name and instructions to the excercise. As soon as you save your edit the app crashes EVERY TIME!
If you are going to use the included excerises it may be a great app but with not being able to add custom excercises it really diminishes the value of this app for me.
Their are so many features they could add to this app to make it stand out from the rest otherwise it is just another workout app that CRASHES!
Out of The workouts I have done this has given me the fastest results. I did expert workout (with a diet) and in a week I went from 174 to 167. Every single workout I can do more weight and more reps. Before I couldn't do a single pull up and by a week I could do two. It's keep everything's organized for me and keeps track of everything and shows my progress. It has so many different workouts that if you some reason I can't do the leg workouts in the gym then I can simply replace it with a body weight leg workouts in my dorm. When I don't know how to do an exercise it has a video to demonstrate it. Only compliant I wish I could sync my iPhone records with my iPad because I use my iPhone in the gym. Wish I could edit my workouts on my iPad and it could just sync to my phone.
