Customer Reviews

Alright

COMPLAINT: I PAID for this app, (and Battleship), why do I have to look at an advertisement for the 'new' and, allegedly 'improved' version of the train wreck EA has turned Tetris into every time I load it? Why do I have to look at the 'crawl' across the top of the screen advertising Tetris? Particularly since I was already conned into buying the 'improved' version?

Give me the app and you can add all the ads you want. I pay for the app just so I don't have to see ads for junk like the new Tetris. DROP THE ADVERTISEMENTS.

EA's new 'business model' of trying to force feed its users any piece of junk they have modified to necessitate in app purchases stinks and I am tired of it.

The game is rendered pretty well. The new way, (compared to the iPhone version), of rolling the die is better. The multiple choice question interface went backwards - it's worse.

The questions are okay. I've never understood why I can't use questions from one set of questions I BOUGHT by itself. What's the point of buying more when they just get mixed in with the rest?

Overall IMDB's Movie Trivia game is much better if you want movie trivia.

Atrocious. Once it stops crashing long enough to play....

Zero stars. Let me recite the three ways this doesn't deserve to be on the app store

1. Crashes multiple time on install. After rebooting iPad seems somewhat more stable. Then crashes 30 minutes into play, ruining game with no restore or restart.

2. Buy movie questions but it seems to only affect the entertainment category, does not turn game into movie version of TP. Maybe I misread something, but it seems more like misrepresentation.

3. Even in table top mode it's a multiple choice game - with on,y 3 choices. This makes the game very easy, and in multiple player mode - BORING! The active player can go for long, non-challenging stretches while other players get to make cocktails, manicure nails and grow beards. Not awesome.

Oh yeah, and I bought it in a hurry last night as I wanted to play movie trivia with friends so never saw the gazillion one star reviews. There should be a flag on apps in the store once the number of one star reviews outweighs the others I order of magnitude.

Don't waste your money

If you are a fan of the board game, don't waste your time with this. Same flaw as 99% of computer trivia: all multiple choice. I understand that's kinda necessary for single player (though voice recognition is good enough by now) but why no option to mimic the board game in tabletop multiplayer? Just provide the question and answer for one player to quiz the other--How hard is that?! Why do the people who have the license for this game seem to have no idea what makes it fun?! The way this tabletop multiplayer is set up is just about the most antisocial thing you can imagine: players just pass the iPad around privately rolling, reading and selecting answers while everyone else waits for their turn, not taking part at all. You could play an entire game in utter silence if not for the annoying soundtrack. For the love of God, skip the stupid picture questions, leaderboards and lame animations and just give us a digital version of the board game already!!!
