Open the Mac App Store to buy and download apps.
Yoink simplifies drag and drop between windows, apps, spaces and fullscreen apps.
When you start dragging a file in Finder or content from an application, Yoink fades in a tiny window at the edge of your screen so you can drag to it.
This frees up your mouse so you can comfortably navigate to the destination of the drop and resume the drag from Yoink's window.
For a demo version and further information, please visit Yoink's website.

Yoink has been featured in the Mac App Store's 'New and Noteworthy' and 'Staff Favorites' sections.
What's New in Version 2.5.2
This update fixes the following nasty bugs:
- Fixed a bug with color palettes
- Fixed a bug where some applications (e.g. CleanMyMac, calibre) would not recognize drags from Yoink)
- Fixed a bug where Yoink would fade in/out inappropriately
- Fixed a bug where items appeared greyed out when they shouldn't have been
Thank you for using Yoink.
If you have a minute, please consider leaving a review on the Mac App Store - you would make my day.
Thank you :)
Never imagined how useful!
When I got this app, I never imagined in a million years just how USEFUL this ‘little’ app would be! I really realized this when I was having an issue with my trackpad … in order to do process of elimation (re: apps vs. hardware), I needed to close all the apps I always had open in the background to see if any of them were the cause of the problem. It was then when I realized just how much I used/depended on Yoink…and had taken it for granted. Thank you for creating such a practical, useful, & 'always at work for you’ app! Thanks!! :-)
Productivity - Increased!
This application is so good that I sometimes forget that it is not a stock function. I have gone on other friends’ Macs to try and qucikly move files around for them, only to forget that they don’t have Yoink instaled! I have been a preacher of this application ever since I bought it, and it does exactly what it is advertised to do, and does it well. If you are having hang-ups about whether or not you want to buy this, I say go for it!
The only thing I’m looking for is a Windows equivalent. Hopefully I can find one soon!
I think Yoink is essential for moving and managing files. While you might think you could just open two windows, or tabs in Finder, being able to grab files from multiple locations and combine them into a single drop into another folder is my killer use for Yoink. It’s great to be able to stash stuff there and not rely on spring loaded folders, but the real win is dragging to or from multiple places. You might not think you need this app, but try it, it’ll change your Finder use.
